I think my favorite part of this Duo, is that neither instrument over does the other, they did an excellent job in doing both instruments justice with this piece, and this is by far one of my favorite renditions of Rhapsody in Blue. Gershwin is one of my favorites.

Have to give much credit to Tom for excellent audio recording mix. A large pipe organ is a difficult situation to record in the first place. Blending it so well with the piano gives us this wonderful result. All these videos are very well recorded, hats off to Tom

This arrangement is an almost perfect marriage of piano and organ for this piece As wonderful an instrument as the modern piano is, it can't approach the sheer power of a church organ, but the piano also excels in ways that even a great church organ can't touch. A wonderful arrangement and a fantastic performance from both brothers!

Amazing, uncanny, unheard of, brilliant, stunning, exceptional - what more needs to be said. You guys rocked this piece - one of my all time favorites of Gershwin - along with An American In Paris. BRILLIANT work Jonathan and Tom. I stand in awe - seriously. This piece is complex enough for just the piano alone and/or orchestra - but with organ? I mean what an interesting take and using my favorite two instruments indeed. Oh and Jonathan BRILLIANT REGISTRATIONS to emulate the instruments written for orchestra. GREAT STUFF. AND IT'S GREAT to hear more of Tom's brilliant playing on piano. Gob-smacked to use a familiar term. He is so easy on the piano - like....Gershwin?? Pffft!! No big deal. Here let me phone it in!! LOL!! Brilliant to Tom easily. Love it. And I would be out of my seat cheering. As it is, this rendition literally makes me tear up it's soooooo moving and utterly off the charts.

I watched the movie "Rhapsody in Blue" recently. A little sappy, but interesting. The arrangement? Meh. Then I listened to a recording of George Gershwin playing it - Much Better! And then, the ultimate piano/orchestra recording - The original "Levant Plays Gershwin". Get the CD. THE arrangement and recording. Oscar Levant played it better than Gershwin! Superb piano/orchestra. And then here come The Scott Brothers! Man, I hope George and Oscar are listening. A finer tribute to this magnificent piece there never will be. Tom's eloquent and sensual touch on the piano are just - well, magnificent. Oscar Levant reincarnate. Jonathan's arrangement on this excellent instrument never lets the brass overpower the rest of the ensemble. The Scott Brothers - I'm so glad I lasted this long to be able to hear this!

I have been a regular at recitals in Liverpool for over 30 years, but had never heard of the Bridgewater Hall organ or Jonathon Scott. I was sent a link to Jonathan's online organ recital (March 2020) and worked through to find out more. It is very fascinating to watch and listen to these two talented brothers. My husband and I play organ and piano together but are real amateurs although we have been playing (mainly church music) for years. Apparently, the very first pianist to play this in concert in the UK was Horace Finch, during his time at Blackpool Tower Ballroom. Horace later went on to become organist of the Empress Ballroom in Blackpool.

Our elementary school music teacher showed us this one animated Rhapsody in Blue video, and ever since this piece has fascinated me. Its a perfect example of how much you can use just few returning motifs to make a moving arrangement. Incredible playing. Just insane. As a guitarist and bass player Im just astonished.
