I do agree with you, I have been a pianist for 11 years and if you ever look at the score of this piece you will realize that these gentleman have played it superbly.

We used the version Gershwin himself wrote. You can find it on most any sheet music site. Just search for 'Rhapsody in Blue Two Pianos' and it should come up.

I like that unlike some, you give the notes and phrases a chance to breath. So many rush through the song. In my opinion, those who rush are entertaining themselves more than the listener.

Exactly so - for me this is how Gershwin should sound: warm, lyrical, playful. Virtuosic delivery loses the music's soul!

It would seem that some of those who left comments didn't actually listen to this. Masterfully done, this is the first two-piano performance of this piece that I've enjoyed - I generally prefer the solo piano arrangement. This was superb, though.

I understand that this is the way the piece was written. (Often, when Gershwin was working on it, Oscar Levant was on the second piano.) Ferd Grofe orchestrated it into what we all recognize as Rapsody in Blue. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Grofe certainly orchestrated it for Whiteman. Haven't heard that Levant was working on it with Gershwin at any stage however, given the closeness of their friendship, I guess it's possible.

Have you ever heard Gershwin play Gershwin? Have you ever heard Oscar Levant play Gershwin? I tend to play his music more romantically than most, but Gershwin himself didn't do that. These fine gentlemen played it accurately, and well. Post your video and then criticize. Having performed this with the orchestra back in 2013 and getting ready to perform the two piano version, I couldn't disagree with you more.
