Let's not forget Chad here. The best part of this video is whatever he says to Anthony when he mimes 'you bang on drums like this' at the end of this video. Could they be so free, or make such great music, if they weren't such genuine friends?

True, but also his visceral feel
@ryanturner95094 ай бұрын
Id have to say its bigger than that. He's a rare example of a "very close to complete" guitar player, by which i mean he has learned the name of his instrument. Its true name, giving him a hardwired connection to it that allows him to connect with the music and the musicians around him absolutley with no 'thought' getting in the way. A pure signal path unhindered by any of the crap that normal musicians deal with on their way to where he is...... Or something
@leroyjenkins4371Ай бұрын
Agreed. But it is live moments like this, that he can make in every performance that sets him apart imo.

It's funny how in most of their songs John looks at Flea for a hint of what comes next. I can't imagine the band without them. They're 2 iconic artists.

I was at this concert, this was at Pinkpop festival in 2006 in The Netherlands. There was a sense of magic in the air on that remarkable and sunny day... The vibe was so good and uplifting! The croud was in high spirits and the Peppers... They were just crazy good during the entire concert. I rarely saw them perform this good, they were out of this world. This particular part always makes me tear up a little. So much emotion and connection between John and Flea. The whole concert is well worth watching, this part is the prelude to Californication. I can't believe this is already 16 years ago... I can still hum every note of this concert to this day. It made a huge and everlasting impression on me.
