Hi great videos, thanks for your help, I only have a small suggestion if you can add the video tutorial number to the description of each video like {RHCSA Exam Questions || Users and Groups || ACL || Sticky Bit || SGID || RHEL 9 -Tutorial video 6} or something similar, sometimes it's easy to remember the video/tutorial number where you have left instead relying on youtube playlist to show where you have left.

As others have pointed out, the permissions on the presentation for /linux changed between 13:44 and 14:10. There wasn't a write permission for the group, then after you cut back from the question, there was.

Thats done to setup the scenario for the last part of the question. You can change the permission for the group before beginning the sticky bit part. I assume you can do it from users and group management and permissions concepts by using chmod. My apologies for the confusion.

on 10:16 the permission of /linux is drwxr-xr-x. However in 14:09 the permission is drwxrwsr-x. does setgid will automatically give group write permission to /linux? or were there step not recorded in this video? thank you

The final one is incorrect. If you set a sticky bit on the directory, that means that only the file's owner and the directory's owner get to delete the files, but the task asks that the user-owner of /linux must be the only one who can delete files. The correct answer is that you need to remove write permission on /linux for group and other.

Plz review.. If we remove write permission for group and others then they will not be able to create files which is not what is required

@@dextutor Correct, but then it's the question that is wrong. It is not possible to stop the owner of the file from deleting it if he has writing permission to the folder, at least without using tools which are well outside of the scope of RHCSA exam.

@@morbiusGR True. Users belonging to the Mac group can create/delete their own files. If users belonging to Mac group can create/delete their own files inside /linux, then we would fail task d) Ensure that no user other than the user-owner of /linux is able to delete the content within /linux.

The question and answer are both correct. Plz review the concepts. The user-owner means the owner of the file/directory.
