What you said about Christmas is spot on! I work in apartments and I know there are people holding off their workorders just because it is near Christmas. They think they’re doing us a favor but it always backs up like crazy. I send out notices to residents asking they report all maintenance issues if possible because we have had some systems or appliances get destroyed because people wanted to wait.

Curtis just watched a video about Rheem problems with defrost. The tech said the sensors that come in the pro tech box aren’t fixing the problem. Rheem says to use PD476604. I noticed you got 2 sets of sensors maybe that was one of the good ones the guy I watch was on KZbin let me know if you want the tech video

heatpump
@Balticblue932 жыл бұрын
@@Jon-hx7pe well, technically, a heat pump is an AC condenser in the summer and a heat pump in the winter. The indoor evaporator becomes the condenser and the outdoor unit dumps the cool off the air as the reversing valve is energized and reverses the refrigerant flow. The best setups are the dual-fuel setup with a gas furnace if the heat pump you own cannot work at low temps. But the current units can easily run to -25 degrees. I install the Bryant systems which is Carrier and they can run to low temperatures.

I would compare the old/new ohm reading and see if it it's bad or out of range.
@glenbeaver27842 жыл бұрын
Mr Perez the value or ohms of the sensors changes with temperature. There are tables for this. Boards with two sensors are demand Boards. And work off of temperature differences. You can buy an adjustable reastat (kind of like a dimmer switch) and fool the board onto thinking it's time for defrost. But just having a thermistor chart will usually let you know if it's the board or a sensor.
