Rheingold - A Legend on Rails!

When it comes to German express trains, there is one name in particular that stands for luxury and comfort: The Rheingold! And with its 1962 consist, the Rheingold was very innovative, too! Enjoy!

You point at all my favourite hardware in those catalogues, decades ago. Nowadays high speed trains, commuter trains don’t share this charism. Today, when i find a good deal on internet, that child inside of me wakes up.

Ever since the Dutch railway museum had a done and dining car on loan, the Rheingold has been my favourite passenger train. Im still hoping to ride on it with the special rides one day.

My favourite train is the ČD 363 (Eso) it is pretty much the most popular electric locomotive of the Czech Republic and Slovakia and as another one i like is the ČD 750/753/754 diesel locomotives that have a recocnisable ends that look like a diver. By the way nice video!

Fantastic new video! I've always been fascinated by the Rheingold, carrying some of the rare European dome cars. I eagerly await the videos on each part of this special consist. As for favorite European named trains, while it seems basic, I have a passion for the Orient Express. Truly there has never been a train with so rich and varied a history.

Die V200.0 fuhr damals bis zur fertigstellung der oberleitung zwischen Duisburg und Arnhem. Da sie keine zugsammelschiene hatte, waren die wagen außerdem mit achsgeneratoren und dampfheizung ausgestattet. 1966 war die strecke fertig elektrifiziert und Emmerich wurde zum systemwechselbahnhof. 2017 änderte sich das wieder, mit inbetriebnahme der Betuweroute (für güterzüge nach Rotterdam) wurde der systemwechsel auf die freie strecke verlegt und die züge nach Amsterdam wechseln nun zweimal das system, bei Elten und Zevenaar. Im personenverkehr fahren dort heute mehrsystemfähige ICE 3 und Flirt 3 (Vias ex Abellio).

My favourite named train services are the Rajdhani Express (specifically Mumbai Rajdhani and her sister service, the August Kranti Rajdhani) and the Shatabdi Express (specifically, Bhopal Shatabdi and Ahmedabad Shatabdi) trains on the Indian Railways.

There's a bit of a parallel with the Bri'ish Blue Pullmans - 1950s diesel luxury trains full of innovation and technical failures which fell out of use when conventional intercity services matched and then surpassed their standards of speed and comfort.
