When my brother was in first grade he learned a joke from a babysitter once, and thought it was the funniest thing ever. He loved to tell it, but he would always start laughing so hard he couldn't get very far through it. The rest of us found his laughter so contagious, we didn't care. I've tried telling the joke today, but it mostly is for my own enjoyment - what's funny about it - to me - are all those memories... thank you for a similar experience, Emily.
