I think you could do a “trick question” where you pick a food from a NA/FN tribe. That way it seems “foreign” in that it isn’t familiar to the average American, but the dish would still be from America. You could make Diné tepary beans or Anishinaabe manoomin (wild rice) or Three Sisters. I’m Apsáalooke and our local foods are probably frybread (which almost every tribe has some variation of) or Baalappia- delicious berry goo that’s kinda like pudding.

Austrian here, that looks like the strangest Kaiserschmarrn ever. ^^ But it seemed to be tasty enough. ;-) I also have never seen it made with Strawberry's, usually its Zwetschkenröster (Plum Based... roast... its weird to translate :D ), or most of the times actually a thick Applesauce. But I am very happy that you liked it, and our National Dish even got the famous old man grunt from Rhett.
