I stopped eating animal products seven years ago but my cholesterol is still high? I stopped statins because of the side effects, muscle pain not countered by CoQ10 supplements. I have a low CCS of 25, but buildup in my carotids. My cardiologist is doing an ultrasound of then next month, but I would like to know your recommendations. Do you think I should be worried. The finding of white carotids was noted on a CSpine X-ray I had done in 2021 and 2024. I’m curious to know if there is a notable improvement from the first one in 2021. Who would be the best person to see this if it’s possible. My cardiologist said it wasn’t a study that could be compared.

I’m 62 and have rheumatoid arthritis for at least 15 plus years. I cannot take methotrexate any more as it did some damage to my liver. I have for quite some time been taking Cimzia injections every two weeks. Can Cimzia stop working? I’ve been having flare ups and will have to call my rheumatologist tomorrow for another round of prednisone. Is there other medications out there that will help me without taking methotrexate?
