I remember reading a quote that said "We don't need a handful of people doing zero waste perfectly. We need millions of people doing it imperfectly" (Anne-Marie Bonneau on Twitter, I think). I totally agree with that quote, and I think it's good that you're doing what you can to reduce as much waste as possible.

Your content is so encouraging, you talk about conscious consumption in the most relaxing way without making me feel so stressed about making a wrong move and without the weight on my chest of the word ending immediately if I don’t do something,you are informative and encouraging and always with the reminder that the world doesn’t make it easy for us to do these things , that we are sold consumerism ,so anything we can do is a great start and being harsh on ourselves isn’t going to achieve anything greater if we are trying our best! You are also so great at getting your audience to visualise the difference they could make!! I’ve been a vegetarian for years and have felt really uninspired food wise lately! Tuna sweet corn sandwiches used to be my favourite as a child and I had never heard of anyone making it with chickpeas!! I’ve looked up a recipe and I’m so excited!! As always your videos give me such cozy and positive vibes, a big breath of fresh air just when I need it , thanks for sharing and I hope you have the most rewarding lovely weekend 🌞💛

I've been feeling so anxious all day, anxious to the point where I've felt a constant sickness and I don't even know why, but your vlogs are so lovely and homely and really do help on any day that I'm feeling so rubbish. Delilah is also such a credit to you and Dough, she's such a sweet and polite girl and you can tell she's going to be a wonderful human.

So glad the rambles are back, I've actually missed them! Delilah's apple cardigan is adorable, I want one in grown up size! I've got a chunky cream cardigan that I've had for a few years now and I wear it all the time, especially when it's mild and don't really need a coat.

Flow is literally my favourite magazine for years! I can't resist buying it but I always make the way into the store (we luckily have one in Norwich that stocks it). I am currently catching up with your vlogs after a very eventful week. I think the reason I like your vlogs so much is that they are especially extraordinary yet uneventful. Like you are a normal person doing normal things. That's why they are so good. and then ever so often you get to go to an event that's exciting but it always is so YOU! In all those years I follow you I have never seen you do something that wouldn't suit you. and I am, for my part, very happy you are one of the few people not milking the "youtuber lifestyle" vlogs where everything is always "amazing!" and "gramable" because I could really not relate to it. You and your family are an "oasis of quiet" in the busy life of today and on the internet and that's the most refreshing thing someone can be these days imho. Also: LOVE THE RANTS! sending some hugs and deep appreciation your way from the bottom of my heart :)

Lovely vlog as usual!! I was so happy when I saw that you were watching the Very Hungry Caterpillar which was one of my daughters favourite books. They are your age and yet I could probably recite the entire book. I can still recite Each Peach, Pear, Plum. Love your chatty vlogs. And I am right with you on my frustration with the all-or-nothing people who can be so disrespectful with their comments about any attempts to be more environmentally conscious. I use reusable grocery bags, made my own produce bags, recycle everything I possibly can, grow as much as my own food as possible (organically) and I had a gentleman tell me the other day that i should have advised my daughter not to have my granddaughter because I was contributing to the end of the world!! Bloody hell!! If we all make an effort, even a modest effort, it will do more than just a few people being extremists in environmental consciousness. Part of the reason I love your videos is that you inspire me to continue to do what I can to be as conscious of my purchases, the packaging, the source, etc. as possible. Do not let those all-or-nothing people discourage you or make you think you are not doing enough. You are an inspiration to me and I am old enough to be your mother. And I secretly covet your clothing and decorating style, you are far cooler than I ever aspired to be. Saw my cress seed sprouting this morning and was wondering how your seedlings are going. Sorry for the ramble. Cheers

@catherinerawlinson25935 жыл бұрын
Firstly chickpeas are very nutritious and high in protein, fibre and iron. It's why so many vegetarians and vegans use them as a basis for so many meals!Secondly it's more about cutting consumption as the fishing industry can be very polluting and damaging to natural ecosystems, the same as meat and dairy industries!

You really don’t need to explain your plastic use in every other vlog. You’ve just got to ignore the commenters that are stupid and expect you to be perfect. You do more than most people and, I dunno, it just annoying for a regular viewer. I don’t want that to come across mean...because I know reading a comment doesn’t come across great sometimes. I love the vlogs i just find it frustrating when you feel you have to explain yourself all the time.
@RhiannonAshleeVlogs5 жыл бұрын
That’s ok. Sometimes I explain because I’m just chatting like I would a friend e.g. talking about the difference just not buying salad dressing makes in the grand scheme of things, I did that because I had hoped it would make some look at it differently and know that little things do add up, but your right, I’ll stop actually explaining/justifying as I understand that could get annoying. It’s hard to chat about anything without fear of coming across as complaining, lecturing or justifying when it’s not come from that place in my head, it’s difficult analysing everything you say and do worrying about how it’ll come across so I am sorry, I do try and thank you for just being nice about it x
@SarahSince19865 жыл бұрын
Rhiannon Ashlee Vlogs aw thanks I’m glad it didn’t come across wrong, hey on another note I believe Tesco are trialling the removal of plastic packaging on fruit and veg in some stores. I hope that gets rolled out fully!

Rhiannon Ashlee Vlogs oh and while I’m here, have you heard about 5G being rolled out in the UK soon. It’s benign trialled at Bristol uni now and will be a Glastonbury....it’s so bad for our health and the government don’t care. If you get a chance to look into it it might be worth a mention to get word out that we need to fight against it. Ok I’ll stop now :) have a good day x
@RhiannonAshleeVlogs5 жыл бұрын
Ekk! Really? That’s terrifying.. I don’t understand why 4G isn’t enough but then is 4G also bad for us? 😭
@SarahSince19865 жыл бұрын
Rhiannon Ashlee Vlogs I don’t think 4G is as harmful but apparently 5G is 20x faster and has more radiation and “microwaves” Apparently there has been a spate of suicides at Bristol uni since it was installed, rather interesting. I joined a few groups on Facebook so I’m still learning. But there was something on the dailymail about Teresa May accepting Huawai new Chinese system for 5G which is a threat to our national security and she tried to keep it hush but there was a whistleblower and now mp’s are being accused of leaking it. You never know what to believe but there are a few countries that are banning 5G.
