It is fascinating how something as "boring" as toothpaste can look pleasing to the eye and harmonius when put in a pretty jar and organized neatly with all the other everyday supplies!😊 These shelves that are not jam-packed look so nice. I like your way of thinking when it comes to being prepared. We do not want things to run out immediately, but if the "doomsday " would come dozens of packagings of toothpaste or shower gel would not make a lot of difference... But having good relationships and useful everyday skills does make a huge difference both on good and less good days 😊 I wish you a blessed, beautiful weekend, Nikki!😊

Congratulations on the new experience, I'm sure you will do a great job! I haven't worked for 16 years and recently I've thought of getting a part time job maybe at the library but honestly the thought really scares me. Thanks for sharing, can't wait to hear about your new work life! ❤

I find buying groceries and household supplies at the same time to be overwhelming, so I purchase paper products and cleaning products from Amazon. It’s much more convenient for me.

That's great that you figured out what works best for you! I believe we did that once but the fabric softener was spilled inside the box, such a mess!

Congratulations on your new adventure!!!! I pray it fulfills you. I like to keep a stock of the things we use a lot of. Toilet paper, razors, etc. Even toothpaste and toiletries. Many times over the years, we've had broken down vehicles, a sudden move, sickness, or pandemic situation where I couldn't go to the store to get things, so having a stock was a blessing. I like to keep cleaning supplies in pretty bottles in the spaces where things are used, as much as possible. I feel it takes away the change for an excuse NOT to do the thing. It's also handy with teens .. " hey, while you are in there, go ahead and tidy up and wipe things down" .... They can't say " oh, I will do it later, I need to go get things"😂 nope, you don't, it's all right there! Oh! I went to Ross for sweaters but didn't find any I felt I needed. I then went to Beall's and found several for my 2 daughters, as well as a few handbags. I don't think I have ever shopped at Beall's!

Cannot wait to hear about your new job and how you are able to continue to wear your fashionable attire. I know you do now show your daughters, but I would love to see their school attire. I miss seeing young ladies in appropriate fashionable garments, especially in public. Could their outfits be displayed on the hanging rod, and you discuss how the pieces (sweater, top, skirt, shoes, or dress) come together?Cannot wait to hear about your new job and how you are able to continue to wear your fashionable attire. I wonder if the heightened interest in the "moving" content is due to so many people being able to relate. Thousands upon thousands of people/families in the US (and other places) have relocated over the last few years, my family included. "Prepare for doomsday" isn't just about "doomsday." It could be a major illness or loss of life and the subsequent decrease or loss of income. It could be an injury. It could be a major storm or weather catastrophe. It could be any number of non-doomsday things and 99% of the time, that's exactly what it is. Been there, done that...and we learned from it. I know it's, like you said, not everyone's cup of tea. I get that. And I'm not saying people should have a giant hoard of beans and bandaids, but having at least enough to get you through hard times (as much as feasibly possible) is a prudent thing to do. I fully agree on the lugging of a caddy of cleaning supplies around. We are blessed to have 2.5 bathrooms, though we really only use 1.5. They're scattered throughout the house, even though it's a small yet average sized house. Silly floorplan makes it a nuisance to clean. Plus, two of the bathrooms only have pedestal sinks and the bathrooms themselves aren't big enough to store cleaning supplies in (one is pretty much a closet), so I do the whole caddy thing. I hope someday we have bathrooms big enough to have under sink storage. It's such a first world problem but it's still a problem to me. Oh, and big congrats on the new job! How exciting! 😊

Possibly. Of course not, that was intended to be funny. Everyone has their reasons. Much of mine are centered around scripture. Thank you 🌹

Nikki have you considered a “pre-order?” Even just taking a Venmo transaction and bypassing all the Etsy fees?? Just an idea and mostly just me not wanting to miss out on an apron🙈💓👏🏼! Excited for you in the new things in your life…thank you for sharing with us!
