Respected sir, You have made this product, but using this material technique, we can make various products. Examples sole of shoe, you buy ladies Chinese shoes of various styles, it's very fragile cardboard. You use your material to make frame of shoe. Another usage is making rooftop. Example, In country wherever temperature is low ,use your technique for roof topping, you can make longer half circle pipe like older clay roofs. I don't know how to explain. One will enter in another. Same as cement sheets but little different type. Country like Romania, need such technology. Another suggestion for ready made home. You no your bricks and roof top , and slowly house will appear. For homeless people. You meet Mr. Vivek Bindra. He can help you. Namh shivay.

Sunita Dwarka: Suspect that you are thinking of the Spanish profile roofing tile with your thinking. My only concern with the plastic - anything - is how the product will stand up to Ultra Violet radiation, over a period of time? The other thing that you need to be careful of if you are using the waste foundry sand - has there been any toxic materials used during the production involving the sand? Yes, the idea and the concept is good, provided that the due diligence has been performed in relation to the different ingredients.

What is the heat carrying capacity of the bricks. In Indian summer will the wall be too hot? And in winter will it be too cold? 4. How will be the reaction of brick in rainy season? Another idea would be to use the shredded plastic and sand as additives for large concrete pouring projects such as foundations, sidewalks, roads, and parking lots. You could probably also add a good amount of these materials to asphalt for Paving roads and parking lots. Those applications would consume a much larger amount of the plastic waste and sand dust. I think you might save a small amount of production expense if you eliminate the use of water for cooling the bricks, as they will also simply cool by stacking them out in the open air. It also eliminates the need for water that is probably more needed elsewhere. Additionally, your production procedure necessitates a great amount of physical lifting of materials into hoppers etcetera. If the materials could be unloaded on a higher platform and then easily pushed down into a lower platform or directly into the hopper for production, it would eliminate most of the need for physical lifting.

Hi, I read about your bricks in an article published on THE BETTER INDIA, I am greatly impressed by this sustainable initiative. I have a few questions though. 1. Is this brick still in the R&D stage or ready for commercial production? 2. If yes, what is the expected life of the brick? 3. Can it, prevent water seepage, unlike the conventional red bricks? 4. What about thermal conductivity? 5. What is the material used for binding these bricks? Is it the same conventional cement or a different kind of binding adhesive? 6. Lastly I wish to know about the CONSTRUCTION COSTS because if it is expensive, people will not care about sustainability I am asking all these questions because I would like to use these bricks in my construction work because of the LOW CARBON FOOTPRINT and I am a compassionate Nature Lover. Hoping for a suitable response from you. ( I AM LOCATED IN FARIDABAD, DELHI NCR) Regards, Amit Yadav

In the video, the bricks are cooled in water - and that heat is wasted. If that heat could be used to pre-heat the plastic going into the extruder, it would reduce the amount of heat that needs to be added there, reducing the cost a bit.

One of the comments was that they could be used in countries with lower temperatures? Suggesting one issue to be how they hold up at temperature or is it a thermal expansion problem due to the plastic? In a lot of construction much of the construction is not exposed to the hot sunlight. This suggests that it is not a major issue but one of guidance for use. Of course approvals and codes of practise will be heeded. Perhaps. Subterranean applications initially will consume production. To get more ideas that might help perhaps publishing the various properties and known limitations will help fuel ideas. This is such a great fundamental idea it deserves every chance of success and, since it addresses environmental issues, we should all willingly do all we can to help pro bono.

There are numerous applications where fire resistance is not needed. Further only 20-30% of the material is plastic, rest is all dust/sand. These bricks don't catch fire unless kept at more than 150 deg C which may not happen in open applications.
