I have a Rhino side loader for my Mitsubishi Mirage (ok a low car ) but a large kayak . A Viking Profish Reload 4-4 mitres ( 14 ft ) 30 kgs . The side loader makes it an easy task im 70 years & 60 kgs

Could you please show the maximum setting to demonstrate how far the bar will extend out? I'd like to know if a plastic dinghy with base of 132cm would work with this.

Hello. There is only one extension setting which is shown in the video. I roof rack with longer crossbars could position the extension further out from the vehicle.

Hello. Much of the stability comes from the roof rack crossbar attachment, if the RUSL is attached to anything other than the listed compatible bars with the correct fittings, the system will not offer the best stability. Thanks!

I've thought about that too, but what's stopping you from strapping the front to the bar by rubber strap temporarily to keep it in place. I have a heavy canoe and was wondering if this solves the slide put problem

Hello. The RUSL is rated up to 132 pounds, however, loading a boat of this weight and bulk, especially with fittings, riggings and other accessories, could pose quite a challenge for some individuals. If even that, looking at all the verified purchase reviews that support bar is apparently prone to warping/breaking. Plus its a hassle to fit/unfit every time you have to load or unload. All that said i probably wouldn't want to be cartopping a PA14 anyways, i think i would pretty much limit it to a outback or compass.

Hello. Hello. The RUSL can assist loading kayaks weight up to 132 pounds, the Angler 14 weights 120 pounds. It may be necessary to removed the hull mounted paddles prior to loading. Thanks!
