Depends on the day how windy it is. Sometimes it’s over 80kms or 100kms. Other times I don’t even hear it.

No leaks at all and I’ve had it for 2 years now as long as your door seal is intact.

I am looking at getting these. Question can you install any rhino pioneer tray to them afterwards if you would like to customise it later on to carry bags or tents?

You will need heavy duty bars and mounting for pioneer trays

Unfortunately I bought a Rav4 and didn't even notice that it was a naked roof. I do a lot of kayaking and felt like I shot myself in the foot. Will this support heavy kayaks like a Hobie? Any potential problems with that application?

Check the roof weight capacity for your RAV 4…ford ranger is 80kg and can’t put more than 70kg. Less if going off-road and whilst car is moving. How heavy is your kayak? …installation is easy and very strong. Only limit is weight capacity.

@@4X4JUMPMAN the roof will handle it. I was more worried about the bars and legs holding onto the car tight. It weighs 70 pounds. I'm also concerned about rain getting in as a result of the clamp on the door frame.

Holds very tight as a clamp and no rain gets in the door. But you may need the front rhino rack tie downs for kayaks for more support.

hey mate, does the roof rack kit has to match your vehicle model specifically or you can buy any rhino rack as long as its the clamping system?

Yeah it has to match your vehicle for the size purpose.

It’s made of metal but has a soft rubber when you clamp it to protect the roof.

On their website it says its adjuatable height? If you dont mind, what is the total height from your roof to the top of bar? I bought this camper shell and it came with these unknown racks installed and im trying to closely match their height.

Nope it’s heaps strong even when I hang and pull on it…it has a rubber padding on the clamp..just make sure you install properly ..a quality brand..but just can’t go over the load capacity as it’s not for heavy load👍

I can’t see any clamp mount for the 200 landcruiser on their website..it’s best they are bolted on for more weight capacity. The only downside you can’t take them off if your not using them.

Unfortunately, clamp mount is not better. The weight of the load will push the clamp mounts outwards, reducing the clamping force. Anchor mouth is alot more stable.

It has its positives and negatives…I can remove my roof rack if I don’t need to use it anymore and it won’t leave any holes in the roof..the roof has a load rating so putting more load on roof will reduce my 4X4 capability..putting a hole in the roof can increase chance of water leak if not done correctly using anchor mounts. Also installation will cost more unless you can do it yourself but not everyone can. Easier to clamp mount a roof rack and takes a few minutes.
