I have the other Brand you mentioned. I use them the same as you, for lifting appliances and doors mostly. You can also slip it between you car door to pump it open if you ever lock your keys in the car.

Man, that's an awesome tip! I Just hope they aren't in my van if I get locked out of it. 😂 Side note, this did end up working really well for me yesterday. So far I'm pretty happy with these and will definitely be utilizing them more in the future.
