Hey there, I've noticed that this works well but when you have a a tight turn on a curve with multiple points there is a distortion on the angle of the ramp; not being gradual but instead steep on the part with the multiple points. (Turning part). For now I found drawing a diagonal line from the 2 end's of the surface and then projecting that line on the surface works better in that instance with no distortion but was wondering if there is any way around that or an explanation of it happening?

Hey all, I was trying to do this in Rhino 6 and the applycrv command is different now than in the video. So instead I created the side walls as in the video and created a line from the top part to the bottom part of the wall and 'Projected' the curve onto the wall, which produced the curve along the wall. Then I extruded the curve straight and trimmed everything.

Hi, what do you mean by projecting the curve on the wall? and by creating the line from top to bottom part of the wall, you are referring to the outline of the wall after CreateUVCrv command right?

I never comment on these but if anybody needs help making complex curve paths for topography, i used a free form curve and was not able for the life of me figure out why the uv curve command was not working. if you're having trouble, instead of trying to make the nurbs curve into a polyline. save yourself the headache and just copy the element however distance in the Y direction you need the extrusion to be and build a surface. the rectangle only appears (at least for me) when the extruded element is a "surface"

i cannot thank you enough for this. i nearly had a mental breakdown trying to create ramps in skp and revit and then rhino as my last option and the uv command just wouldn't work on the planar surfaces. god bless you ohmygod
