I was 14 when I first heard this and rushed out to buy with my pocket money ... I'm now 68 I have never stopped playing this album through my entire life.... I can't pin down what it was, but there was an alchemy going on in my soul, and the dynamics of this band were truly exciting, especially used to love the tightness of the "chang" on this track. The music has never aged, and it could be released again today and my kids would be as entranced as I was... and they're in their 30's! Thanks for the soundtrack.

Of the over 5000 albums I have in my collection, Rhinoceros is in the top of my listening group. Damn awesome band.

Absolutely one of the best bands of the late 60s...that first album was - and remains - a real stunner, with killer grooves, really great vocals, ripping guitars...a total winner, though sadly on the instrumental 'Apricot Brandy' made any real waves. That album plus 'Satin Chickens' and 'Better Times are Coming' are available on CD, the latter ones being 2 on 1 disc. Definitely worth having all, though the self-title debut is the real classic.

I saw them at the Wollman skating rink in Central Park, it was around 1970? It was an amazing experience and watching this brings back some great memories. Very talented band! 🙏

The mighty Rhinos... Alan Gerber and? John Finley's vox on this are great, so is the great Danny Weis on guitar and Michael Fonfara on Organ. The first tme they've played this live for over 35 years and it still sounds great. Enjoy!

What a Great Band!!! I wish they had hit bitter as they deserved it. When I finally got past the "hit", was I ever blown away. This first album, I was in college........brings back so many good memories. Thanks so much guys!

OMG. . . one of the best bands I ever saw live. Alexandria Roller Rink they opened for Steve Miller. . . .Been a fan ever since. The First Album is a classic and the second is almost as good. . . . Finley one of the best vocalists I ever saw. . Delbert McClinton, Sam &Dave rolled into one. This is great stuff. . . What you get when you let bands play . . . and make real music that has heart and personality. . .

This is just so awesome! Can't EVER get enough of any & all of these guys! So sad to have lost Michael in Jan. this year! You all look & sound sensational! ( No Doug Hastings. He is in Seattle with re formed Daily Flash - who was his Band prior to being in Rhinoceros).

I saw Rhinoceros in New Haven, CT in the 60s at a club called the Stone Balloon. John Finley has an incredible voice, but these guys did not get along. It's good to see they could get back together even if it's a one shot deal.

Holly, how do YOU know that they didn't get along!? John, Danny, Alan ALL live in E. Canada, as did Michael until his death on Jan. 8th, 2021, & have worked w/ ea other, & contributed to each others projects frequently, as well as w/ Prakash & Jordan John. Doug Hastings is in Seattle, still performing w/ band he was in prior to Rhinoceros days "The Daily Flash". John STILL HAS an incredible voice! Most of living members are in 70's, & have only gotten better with age, are happy, & doing well!
