i still remember exactly where i was upon hearing of his passing... it was a chill October evening, already dark, as i drove to a friend's house. The radio on, Stay the Night came on and played. I got excited because I hadn't heard it for 3 or 4 years.... After it finished, the DJ said, "In memory of the passing of Benjamin Orr, he died today after a short battle with cancer. He was 53 years old." My mind went blank and couldn't comprehend what i just heard... He was younger then than i am now... the wrong people are taken from us too soon!

Baloney. The Cars were my favorite band, since 1978 - Greg was a total rockstar - we loved his voice and his hair!! He was well regarded throughout the 1980 and well into the 90s. 👍
