I made one for my son last christmas. He brought it to school last week (without permission, no toys at school in 3rd grade!) and now several of his friends want one too. So I am making 22 before Christmas break so everyone in his class could have one if they want. It uses so little yarn, I am just using up some of my surplus stash in lots of colors.

Thanks so much for this tutorial! I’ve done loomigurumis before but this was my first amigurumi I’ve been crocheting for a while now but this was a very good tutorial.

Thank you!!! I have been searching for a more realistic one with WORSTED weight yarn. Most I see are for bulky yarn, which I hate using!

Hi Rhonda! I am so grateful for your video. The first one I made from a pattern I bought on Etsy but the directions were very confusing and I didn't keep perfect count. It turned out looking like a mutant axolotl, lol. It will be a lot easier for me on the next one thanks to your demonstration. I also love how you use yarn as your stitch marker! I'm going to do that for now on; it's much easier than using an official marker. The only thing I do different is make the eyes with yarn instead of the small plastic eyes.

Hi carol. I’m glad this video has helped You out! Yes, yarn as a stitch marker is so useful, especially if you need to go back and look for a mistake, lol.

I’m glad you like it! 😊 I’m not sure how big your planning on going, but I do have a video with #6 yarn of this same pattern that’s updated with instructions. If your going even bigger I’d love to see it somehow. ❤️ AXOLOTL CROCHET PLUSHIE full tutorial crochet a long kzbin.info/www/bejne/hHrJkqx9n52tgKc
