I was literally having this conversation with my roommate earlier, slick buns are impossible with curly hair and WAYYY too much effort. I just opt to have fuzzy edges in my bun, it's still in regs. I'm on a personal mission to get out with my edges in tact. I don't use gel or brushes, just my hands and water and bobby pins. A headband if I'm lazy (but it's bad for your edges). I keep a picture of my aunt in her uniform in the 70s rocking a full afro as a reminder 670-1 is ever changing.

I try everything in my power not to put my hair in buns anymore... but even before the military I would always have my hair in buns or ponytails... but since going completely natural (no heat as well) if I could walk around with my twist outs n braid outs I would be the happiest woman in the world 😩 the struggle is too real when it comes to being in compliance with AR 670-1 n trying to keep your edges

😂 my arms definitely be hurting! But honestly it just putting a ton of water n conditioner n having the right brush that helps it lay down so flat

Stop using got2b on your hair girl. I used it once years ago and immediately my hair broke off! If you layer gel & edge control it’ll hold for at least 3 days.
