Just baked this with my Grand daughter 6yrs old.. listening and stopping so we could keep up with you.. oh it is soooooo delicious. Thank-you for teaching us how to make a fruit cobbler. We had rurbarb in our garden and picked the last of it. Had enough for the recipe. Your instructions were so easy to follow.. we had so much fun baking this fruit cobbler with you.

So funny, when I was a kid in the 50s back in England we ate rhubarb like that too, dipped in sugar and eaten like candy. 😊

Bonita, your recipe is so good!!! Even though I missed the 3/4 evap. milk or heavy cream, LOL! It still turned out great, the crust tasted like a cookie...everyone in my family loved it :-)

Here in Florida, the supermarket staff had no idea what I was talking about when I asked for canned cream. Several years later, I accidentally found Nestlé brand in the international aisle and it's from South America. Texture is not as thick as the Fussell's brand I grew up on in Newfoundland but still that familiar taste.
