Music as a spyglass... I love it. Kudos. Before we had a spyglass, we had to walk around to get a sense of our surroundings. Now we can look into the distance from a single spot, and get a crisp picture of miles and miles of land. Music works the same - it gives us a picture of miles and miles of emotions, that simply can't be grasped in it's absence. Not all at once, and not as vivid.

Haha another great way to find music is last.fm, which recommends artists based on ones you listen to. Another good option is to browse artists in soundcloud (and follow them). See who they're following, etc. You find a bunch of gems and cool spins on genres this way. Everybody's experience finding music should be unique. I'm not gonna point out artists or specifics for you. It would ruin the fun :P
