Ok so couple of things to say about your video (from the guy who cleared the 110) : - Towering shield is additive but there is very little additive damage source in the build and is thus quite strong - Block chance increases Blessed shield damage (provoke is ~20% damage increase) - Iron skin - flash is used mostly to reposition into oculus rings during holy-phases of the coe - You want probably life per hit instead of vitality on bracers - I put %life on my belt because I min-maxed (the gist of it is I get more health and more strength by having %life on belt and more str in paragon instead of str on belt and more vit in paragon) so that's not important for lower paragon player - atk speed is important on weapon and is also the main reason I use gogok. Not for the cdr, as I could have enough cdr from my gear for perma AC. I chose not to since I decided to play gogok for the damage increase and thus got CDR from it as well. - In groups, you want to use the fire rune instead of holy rune for way more damage. - With gogok don't use block chance passive or you'll lose the dodge and that's not good edit : btw I'm pretty sure any player that tests things on the ptr wouldn't mind a mention of his name at least in the video description

According to what I've read (might be wrong) Pain Enhancer bleed is increased buy LoN set, does the Pain Enhancer bleed get increased by Akhan 6pc bonus? I use the Pain Enhancer on my LoN Blessed Shield build to keep attack speed up and thus keeping Akhan Leniency stacks up.

I've been using LON shields on the ptr, it does almost double the damage and opens up options for orange texts. Sadly I don't have 3000 paragon or any of my gear augmented so I can't really say how far it can push.

its cause your on console, lol but in all seriousness your not using the correct run for blessed shield, who else knows what your doing wrong(no offense) but that was the only thing i caught, your dps is good but if you were using shattering throw, you would see the mobs die out alot quicker, plus its amazing for adds, keep pressure on boss while the shattering throws deal with his adds.

Thank you so muche man! I love your videos. This Captain America build is very fun to play and i kick ass with it. Great to survive too, unlike the hammerdin build or the condemn (maybe I just dont have enough cooldown tho... I cannot keep up with Akarat's Champion on all the time...). An underrated build for me is the Invoker Thorn with Hack as weapon and Vo'Toyias spiker as shield. Never died once and kick ass too. Keep on the good work!

My favorite build for my favorite class is finally back. i have been playing it still but I made my own LoN variant of it that got me into the gr70+'s so far and that was with only 800 paragon levels. Not the greatest by any means but I love playing it. Going to love testing out my LoN variant after the buffs then trying out this build. Thank you for the build and info on this. Also love that vigilant is in the build, been using that instead of indestructible with my hammerdin for a long time.

Ive been running this build since 360 and love it. Currently running it still with 75mil base damage and par 645. The biggest thing is to remember to keep the stacks going.

If you get a leorics crown and use a rorg instead of a coe then you only need an 8% cdr roll on your shoulders for 100% uptime if youre already using the 1 hander passive 15% and 10% from paragons and 15% from gogok this is much easier to achive and you get 55% cdr so you should be using that instead till you get better cdr on gear

but as you go higher , those numbers are devided, let say i'm at 50% CDR then I put a 10% I wont be at 60%. (can't do those math , but it will be less than 60%

M0une At 50% cdr 10 more cdr would give you exactly 55% cdr. If a skill had 120sec cd, 50%cdr puts it at 60sec. Remove 10% of 60 = 54, or 120*0.55

I think it depends on personal playstyle. I like gogok very much because of the dodge chance and attack speed, but my crusader has 56% CDR on gear without gogok, which opens up the way for bane of the powerfull or even zei´s stone of vengance. but I don´t know what will be the best version, because I´ve got low paragon and can´t push 100s

Have you tried the Captain Crimson lvl 70 pieces in this? If you use a RoRG, you can run with belt and either pants or boots from that set, get 20% cooldown, and a 35% damage/defence buff too, and still run the Aquila in the chest, as long as you use the amulet from the set

Hey, Folk! For groups you could try changing the Akkhan armor and unity for a cindercoat and ring of royal grandeur; using the fire rune in the blessed shield 😁

Hmm, interesting concept. I chose towering shield for the +20% as a bit of a bonus buff as I didn't took Provoke/hitme. I got Shield Glare, which gives you an extra 20% dmg taken by all enemies. So if I were to go provoke, I would have maybe not gone with Towering passive. I may gave it a crank to see. I stumbled onto this video fall 2018 as I'm going back to this build in S15 to keep it interesting. Thnax Rhykker

Really loving your guides, but it's been bugging me lately that the health and resource orbs are cut off from the gameplay window. I understand you need to zoom in a bit so it's still easy enough to see, while not taking up too much space, but it seems to me like you have some height left and could still incorporate the orbs? This build doesn't use resource, but it's still informative to see how much you get damaged and how long you take to heal up. For other builds the same goes for how fast you go through your resource and when you regain it. Anyway, thanks for the awesome guides, just wanted to leave this as feedback :-)

Also really loving that this build is becoming viable. This shield mechanic is one that I kind of figured out on my own with items I was randomly finding before diving into all the different builds and sets. Once I did that it was obvious it was nowhere near as strong as other builds, but I liked the mechanic so it'd be great to play it again and be competitive (on my kind of casual level) again ^_^

I just wanna add to this that, I find the build still viable in season 14, only based on taking down Gr70 down easier from first try with pretty bad gear / starter gear...4-5 items ancient with bad rolls mostly. Go try it! It is worth it IMHO. Regards Rolf

Hey Rhykker what would you think of the LoN set if 1. It receives a damage and damage reduction % increase. (Since it obviously needs it to make it comparable or stronger than all these new super buffed up sets) and 2. Primal Ancients would give a larger bonus. Example being Per Primal Ancient gain 350% damage increase and 5% damage reduction per Primal.

Hey rhyker can you give a in depth explanation as to how the healing from holy cause works? for example is it more beneficial to raise my damage to increase the holy healing or is raise you hp better?, if its the later should we be looking at vitality buffs or strait up hp buffs?

Holy cause works like the old life per hit mechanic used to, that is to say you are healed of 1% of your life multiplied by the proc coefficient of the skill you used. For example condemn has (if I recall correctly) a proc coefficient of 0.5 so you are healed for 0.5% of your life each time an enemy is damaged by condemn. The proc coefficient of blessed shield is quite low (I think 0.1 or 0.2) but since you do pump quite a number of shields per second and those hit a large quantity of mobs, it accounts for a lot of healing. Couple percent per second. If you raise your damage your life gain will remain the same, and if you raise your health pool you will get more healing. However, what you want to do is kill the enemies and not survive, thus you should always prioritize damage over life.

I honestly think this game is better off with smaller seasons. The early season is the most fun part for me, this is when you're still hunting gear. Towards the end it just becomes a paragon grind, which is simply not fun for most people.

I thought blessed shield still counted as a spender even though an item removed the cost. I know on my DH when I use the quiver to remove the resource cost of Chakrams I still get item triggers that come from resource spenders.

+spakerman That's exactly what I was thinking. Why in the world would removing the resource cost on this skill for your character cause the game to no longer recognize the skill itself as a resource spender? This is definitely a pretty silly error on his part.

YESSSSSSSS my favorite BUILD MUAHAHAHA i have almost all the pieces but the weapon time to farm again, If only Justice Lantern was Crusader ring that buffed Damage based on Block percent and our passive was multiplicative ( like it should be) then itd be great for a couple other builds too. Blessed shield does more damage with Block percent so We could test justice lantern equipped with convention cubed for a few runs? Ill work on the gear but no Guarantee

Not a fan of gogok for perma Akkhan due to 1) need to get stacks up before you use your first AC use and 2) if the stacks fall off for any reason to will die due to several seconds of no AC. It does make it far more annoying to stack CDR without gogok. Justice lantern is a thing in a team as well. That's more damage reduction and some damage boost to BS. If you take Hold Your Ground passive that's even more block adding to DR and damage. Provoke as well will add to JL's reduction when it's up. Is it better? Not sure but the synergy is pretty amazing.
