3:05 Best piece of lyricism in recent memory: "In those last moments a few word were spoke; I used to peak at this old house in awe, imagining what it must be like and all, and it's the finest spread these eyes ever saw, but i don't mid saying i feel sorry for y'all. All that gettin, so little givin, let a lot of y'all to forget whats missin. built you a big pretty prison to sit in, strut around here convinced that that's livin." Soooo good!!

Brother Ali is such a dope lyricist. I always liked the 2nd verse in his song "Good Lord": Something spiritual happen when them hands get to clappin', Can you tell me, what language do you laugh in? The human reaction of smiles and cries, What language are the tears when they're fallin' from your eyes? You've probably seen the sunrise hundreds of times, But let a painter paint it or a poet describe, The very moment where heaven and Earth might collide, And God let the breath of life come outside, Uh, Satan doubted it, angels bowed to it, I'm so beautifully human and I'm proud of it, Soul of a soldier, heart of a scholar, I wrote this poem with the blood of a martyr.

The thing I love about underground hip-hop is that only the true lovers of the genre come to listen, leaving ignorant people to mainstream artists. Thus, the non-existing dislike bar.

Beast song. Much like old school music, there was a story to tell, a meaning to learn. Music as good as this is rare anymore. Brother ali is a beast.

Brother Ali, that song was a beautiful ballad. My first impressions of you was "here's another white man trying to be black but now I've listened I owe you an apology, cos you ain't trying to be black, your just trying to be you, just trying to be a good man and just trying to do the right thing. Much love and respect ali, you are a true inspiration of n the way how you've reminded me that I should be just trying to do the same. Peace

Mad Respect for admitting your error and learning from it. I highly recommend seeing Brother Ali live. I saw him last year at Red Rocks, to hear him in person is truly life changing. You can feel his energy, it's nothing but positive, this man saved my life.
I'm from Minnesota, we really love art and lakes. You can take an album, from Rhymesayers, and run it up the Gunflint Trail, and learn something about the world. We want MPLS to be something special, because we care..

When i'm listening to Brother Ali, when i REALLY listen there's this thing about it that makes it different from regular music. Its real poetry, it's raw and its straight from the soul. Ali goes father than i thought anyone else could in truly expressing themselves in music. In the future its not going to be drake and lil wayne that will be remembered its gonna be ali and all the other rhymesayers

Three words in the Dictionary, Inclusion, Equality and Diversity. All three words should have next to them.... Description ---> Ask Brother Ali, he wont just explain, he'l teach you how to feel it through his music. Brother Ali speaks as everyone's voice no matter who or what they say we are, No matter where we come or came from. World wide love for every one of us right hear with him. I hope it spreads as quick as hate does. The whole world having our back's in no time.

This song makes a whole helluva lot more sense if you look at the "leper" child as a metaphor for a mixed baby. It very much explains why the master excluded him from the family and why the slaves were totally okay with accepting him.
