@@blueknight8700 it's a reference to the story of David and Goliath. Goliath is huge and powerful, David is just a little tiny boy. Yet, when David fights against Goliath, he wins after hitting the giant with a stone. He's talking about how America is looking to be defeated. Vietnam, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Japan. I only heard of Brother Ali just a short while ago, my brother told me. This is the first song I've heard from him and my first thought was: wow! This person is a true poet, with the upmost integrity telling us about how he feels about the (I love this one) United Snakes. So Brother Ali, just letting you know: I'm gonna buy an album man, support this kind of music: smart, critical and true!

Good shit. I know he's gotten a lot of heat for this track, but he just spills it with 100% integrity and sincerity; I love it.
@cadmiumandwilsin29935 жыл бұрын
He really means it and there's soul in it, but he's a couple decades off on the message. Next he's gonna make a song about how it's such a big problem that horses are shitting in the streets when people ride them to work and how we need to find a better, more mechanically sophisticated way to get around.

Kobina Jamieson I mean, in one form or another. My analogy wasn’t absolutely perfect. But in any practical sense that warrants a song trying to sway society, it’s not happening. It’s all on more of a smaller scale that society as a whole can’t necessarily do more about.

This song got the Feds to freeze his Rhymesayers bank account and probably put him on a high priority watchlist, too. Which kind of amplifies the point of this song. Badass!

@@FBarbarian No, they mean if your going to present something as fact, then make sure it is a fact. Whether it was intentional lying, or just ignorant spreading of rumors, it still is misinformation, & benefits nothing, including the message of this song.
