When goku first met Yajirobe during the King Piccolo arc, they fought because Goky ate Yajirobes food. They were fairly even matched but Goku ended up getting a power bost pretty quick afterwards thanks to the Ultra Mystic Water I believe it was called.

Yajirobe has crazy potential. During the Saiyan saga when the Z Fighters were training for Vegata and Nappa's arrival, Yajirobe was able to relatively keep up with everyone by barely doing anything. Man's only held back by his laziness.

I think Yajarobe was probably on equal footing with Goku strength wise as they both admitted to themselves during their fight that they were having a hard time on both ends. Just a tip for next raid boss: if you get a character with Solar Flare you can use it to cancel moves, the stun cancels all animations from all special moves as long as the enemy is within range, for example if you see a dash special being used use the Solar Flare to cancel the special.

I’m going to say this very loosely since nothing was confirmed as far as I know of. When Yajirobe was shown, he was portrayed to be on par with Kid Goku. He also climbed Korin Tower with Kid Goku on his back. He did it faster than Goku probably did as well during the red ribbon arc. So Yajirobe was no slouch way back then. Even saiyan saga Yajirobe may have been a serious contender for the 23rd world tournament (I’m aware the rest of the Z warriors are as well).
