It's so funny hearing him talk about how detailed and immersive the set design etc was for him, after reading the interview with the set designer who was like "yeah this ship is so simplified and inaccurate" lol ......... it's possible that I've consumed too much content about this show 😅

He's so charming!! I binge-watched Our Flag Means Death yesterday and it is easily one of my top favorite shows of all time! Everything about it was absolutely delightful. The acting, the humor, the drama, the soundtrack, the sets and costumes... Brilliant!! Thank you for this interview.

I just love him. Him, the show, the rest of the cast. Imagine this: Jeff Goldblum playing "The King of Pirates" Henry Every. He retired early, had a ship called The Fancy and just retired and disappeared to Madagascar with tons of jewels. I saw a pic of Waititi, Darby and Goldblum together and thought "oh, hell yes. that's a fun combo!"
