It is, however, possible that in the rh universe that humans have visited Mars already, and received a transmission telling them to go to the moon, for easier travel.

I remember when this stage was first shown off everyone was like OH GOD HOW ARE THEY EVER GONNA BE ABLE TO TRANSLATE THIS? THIS IS GONNA BE ANOTHER MANZAI SITUATION! ....not realizing it was really no big deal. It's kinda sad that us Rhythm Heaven fans have become so scared of getting screwed over in the localization department. Whether it's bad dubbing, minigames being replaced out of laziness, song lyrics being deleted instead of translated, or even entire games never making it overseas, us Westerners just can't catch a break. Let's hope Nintendo gives the localizers a bigger budget next time. ....and that we don't have to wait several months for it to come out in general.

even putting aside the cultural difference, manzai relied on wordplay and puns, which I could see being difficult to replace for a game meant to go on for a very long time. this game doesn't have this problem as you could just insert any sentence that fits the rhythm.

@@MightyMewtron Funnily enough, I've actually written my own take on Manzai's translation a while back. You can switch the japanese puns with english ones pretty easily. They just have to be short enough. The sea saw a seesaw. (this one line is more in line with the japanese wordplays, the rest are just pun-jokes, but they work) Yeah, yeah! Insect puns bug me. Yeah, yeah! Too poor to pay attention. Yeah, yeah! The sea saw a see- BOING!!! SNAP OUT OF IT! Toucan play at this game. Yeah, yeah! The broom is sweeping the nation. Yeah, yeah! The bycicle was two-tired. Yeah, yeah! Toucan play- BOING!!! SNAP OUT OF IT! Penguins give cold shoulders. Yeah, yeah! Hungry clocks go for seconds. Yeah, yeah! The sheep made a ewe turn. Yeah, yeah! Penguins give- BOING!!! SNAP OUT OF IT! My spine is holding me back. Yeah, yeah! Stitching is sew hard. Yeah, yeah! My broken lamp is delighted. Yeah, yeah! My spine is hold- BOING!!! SNAP OUT OF IT! etc.

It's the other way round. THe astronaut didn't understand the martian, but mission control did. In the tutorial, all the martian says to the guy is to match his rhythm. If he does, his translator would translate the words to mission control.
