Before it was the Ottoman Empire, it was referred to as "The Byzatine" or "Eastern Roman Empire" A place where "Slavs", Hellens, Latins and Celts lived. You claim it was the ottomans that gave them culture, i disagree. It was the Greco-Romans, who created helped create "Slavic" culture through the spread of Christianity by spreading the "Word of God" to the unwanted " Macedons", "Greeks", Celts, "Latins", Scythians, "Germanics" and other Proto Slavic peoples. Salvo (Latin) --> Slavo (Slavic hearing of the Latin word Salvo, before Latin and Cyrillic were the official alphabets among proto Slavs). Then from Slavo, to Slav. Also tied to "Pravo-Slav" meaning "Correct faith, or Straight and true faith". And Slava, meaning Celebration, Honor and Glory (Tied to the Christian God, while the Greeks and Romans spread Christianity to the Proto Slavs). Slavic Culture was officially alive by 1000 A.D. In today's Skoplje (Macedonia). Thanks to Cyril ( Half Greek and half Slav) and his friend Methodias (The Roman). Both of whom were Monks. That is the true origin of Slavic culture. All this would not be possible without the Greeks and the Romans.
@PM-fb3vm
@PM-fb3vm 7 жыл бұрын
Credit where Credit is due. Christian Greeks and Christian Romans spreading "Slava" (Glory) to the Pagans and then hosting "Slava's" Glorious celebrations in the name of God. and the word "Slova" means both "Word and Letter" all of which was easily accessible at both the "Bibliateka" (Library) [ Biblia: Greco-Roman for Book: But Slavic for Bible] and through the Biblia (Bible). the truth comes out, eventually. 1 year, or 1000 years. It comes out in one way, shape or form. And when I hear the Slavic languages... I hear the echo's of Latin, Greek and Celtic influences that created their words which were modified over the last 2000 years.

@S.T. Thracia was (and still is) a place in Southern Europe. It is where the oldest gold relics in the world were found. It is also where the oldest wine produce was made. It is also where the oldest city in Europe is. It is the place where most of the rose oil in the world is made. It is the place where Roman and Byzantium empires fell. It is the place where Arab invasion was stopped in Europe. It is the place where Orpheus legends were born. It is the place where one of the 7 folklore regions in Bulgaria is. It is much more.. But I don't want to wear out my keyboard.

As Greek, I m not sure if syrtaki is considered as a traditional Greek folk music and dance. I know that is a modern music of 20th century which combines dance moves from the traditional Greek syrtos dance. In my opinion it isn’t a representative sample of Greek folks.

Romania Croatia and Slovenia central European, Greece south European, Serbia eastern European, and Albania and Bosnia near eastern, Bulgaria or fyrom are, i have no idea what, more like "archaic slavothracians" , and turkey just Arabic . I think these differences are visible in this video too. What does really make all these countries "equally Balkan"?

@@jasminamarjanovic7311 hahahah Serbs have come to the Balkan after the 7th century. You can read this even on Wikipedia 😂 And please go and read some history before you comment. I recommend you the History Book (for six graders) by Radeta Mihalçiq, where she explains who the real Illyrians are. This is a serbian book, not albanian.

Revlo Soul There wasn't such a thing as "khan". The actual title was Kanas Ubigi/Kanas Yuvigi. Their names were mainly from iranian descent so i don't know what is the turkic about them...
