Hey Vinny....I've watched several vids of you and Frank Vignolo. Love your playing ability and you make it look too damned easy. After watching you I feel my axes would be best utilized as kindling. I like the approach of the this vid so I'll give it some time. Keep up the good work.

It seems this might be an excellent lesson for somebody like me who's spent all their time fingerpicking and is shamefully deficient at strumming along as accompaniment. I also see it as a great way to actually learn the fingerboard rather than simply "chord shapes". It's much easier learning three-note chords and having that as a base to expand on.

Hi Vinny. probably an elementary question if one was starting this progression in the key of G would you play that same voicing for C up at the 9 position for G? also if my next chord after the G is a C-major would you go up to 7 position? thank you

The Dm your using has no root. So it is really a first inversion of an F chord. So your really playing I vi-7 IV V7
