because even though it may be easy to find a song u like that u think should be sampled actually incorporating it into a track and making it sound good at the same time takes an amazing ear for music and lots of practice

PPl always criticize the beats that are produced in this series but its about so much more than the beats. I enjoy watching these guys individual processes and how they develop beats with what they are given. Ive learned more than Ive criticized and evn when the beat isnt like super fantastic... jus watching how these cats (some legendary) chef up their work is a jewel in itself. Word, it's enlightening seeing their creative process of beat making. From an MC perspective, I don't think they care too much about the process of making it but rather listening to the final beat. Depends on what you are looking for also, you can't really critique something that you have no knowledge

The Software and Hardware is so easy to use ...its really about having the Ear for it ...you can't teach that ....Anybody can learn to use the equipment and software...but the Ear you are born with it ... that is just the truth

SkunkLungs nah when he chops it he has to put it in pitch to aee if they fit together. The whole song is chopped in the correct pitch then chopped up.

Seeing him work at it, you could tell it takes a lot of patience and focus. He definitely took his time listening to records, chopping up the right sounds, figuring out where to take the song. Lots of patience and focus is what I got out of this process.

The stuff these guys do is like magic, no idea how they even developed in ear for layering these samples together. Havoc is a genius, if you went for the top 10 hip hop beats off all time he'll could easily take up 50% of that list.

I often have to remind myself havoc is one of my favorite producers of all time. Its crazy how we remember the large professors primo Pete Rock dr dre swizz beats just blaze etc but always forget about havoc! Every producer I named I can think of a beat they made I wasn't feelin but havoc NEVER missed and I keep disrepcting this man by forgetting hes a top 3 producer of all time cuz I always think emcee with mobb deep.
