After reading the comments, watching this a few times, finding a video of the 3DS version ('cause I lost my copy to reference it myself ;_;), and air-drumming to see if I can catch the rhythm myself, I think I've figured out what's so different about this. In the 3DS version, Alfred has two timings to his double-strikes, and he has a different audio and visual cue for each. Here, he has *four* timings, and they all use the same visual and audio cue, save for the last one which is visually different (if anything, that'd only throw you off more). There's no way to distinguish when he's going to release the attack by listening or by looking, so on your first play-through, you're screwed until you can anticipate it or get more used to the music.

@@kuroser353 What he means is, you're not really told how long the cue is going to be, so anybody going in playing this will probably mess up those parts. The 3DS did a better job at this because the middle part queues were consistent and easy to pick up.
