For me this video is not about murder... in a literal sense, at least. Gumi is a paparazzi/blogger/just some sick fuck who crossed Miku's path. Maybe Miku did something to Gumi, maybe it's the other way around, or, maybe, just maybe, Gumi just wants clout for exposing Miku for anything she can find on her. Either way, Gumi is hellbent on exposing an idol for who she really is by taking shots and videos of her private life, or actually, leaking messages from screenshots (in the start of the video Gumi literally says "These screenshots tell stories"). In an art she literally ripped her heart out, as in, true nature, for the world to see and photographs it, and by revealing a human behind Miku's mask she "killed" an idol. Maybe Miku didn't even do anything wrong, and Gumi pretty much just doxed an idol, ending her career one way or another, twisting her private conversations and life to make her seem bad. I think this is a commentary on how some people gain popularity by exposing others flaws, no matter if they're major or minor, something like cancel culture, or all those videos like "X EXPOSED FOR BEING AN X OMG Oo~OMG!~!!", and about all the kids who try to leak each others private information for stupid reason and sick pleasure.

Title seems really accurate, It seems like a story about a upcoming Idol with her 'world' where she slowly breaks down over time due to Paparazzi's painting her in a terrible light using all kinds of means like petty lies and rumors to "paint a knife" making her look like the guilty suspect. She ends up breaking down to the point of breaking her Idol facade and calls Gumi a freak and Gumi basically shrugs it off and it seems like she even taunts/encourages/mocks Miku as Miku falls into dispair most likely making the imagery actually true. You can see Gumi holding up what seems to be Miku's heart which is most likely her work that she's 'marked' (Like a news article with her name on it) for all to see. It sounds like Gumi uses the fact that Miku shares some of her private life(heart) and her thoughts or opinions (mind) on camera to catch her in 'petty lies'. The Bestie part in the beginning is most likely just a hammering point to show how Paparazzi spread rumors and gossips and making Gumi appear unhuman as the story of Miku's life unfolds. It's an amazing song that I'll listen for many more years to come for sure. TDLR: I interpet the song to be about Idol's or Idol culture and how they're preyed on by Paparazzi due to the ideals of Idol and Idol culture.

interesting thing ive noticed with this song: at 2:14 when it says “‘Freak, you’re such a freak.’ Well sorry but I’m just being me. Let’s party!” during the “Freak, you’re such a freak” part miku sings it while gumi sings the rest. imo, this sounds like after miku finds out that gumi killed someone (or kills people, or is planning to kill miku) she calls her a freak (“freak, you’re such a freak”) while gumi responds “well i’m just being me.” (and maybe as shes killing miku she says “let’s party!”). the reason why this might be playing on repeat is probably because she has the video on tape and is either A.) replaying it herself so she can relive miku dying or B.) because its on some like VHS tape and is forced to repeat or smthn idk. just my personal theories btw, and only a certain theory over one part of the song. just note that you can interpret this song however you want, and u may use inspiration from other people. but don’t let other people’s theories get in the way of yours.
