Why do we go looking for aliens on other planets when we have Ramon here on earth?

I heard first of this push pull technique from fast extreme metal drumming but applied in brazilian rhythms and a quieter jazz context it works amazing! The other techniques really push the drumkit further. Thank you for this inspiring drum lesson!

25:33 i mean there are probsbly plenty of drummers that can do this the conventional way - like quickly play a two handed roll then jump to the snare w their left hand. but this just seems a ton more efficient. you look so relaxed too! Ramon you are one of the Greats 🙏🏾 one of a kind tbh

Damn, you make it look so easy. Let's just say that you are a (super)natural talent compared to the rest of us 🙂

Ramon, this is amazing and very inspiring! I was a drum teacher many years back and when I showed something to my students, they always said: “Argh, this is hard!” and my answer always was:” No, it’s not, it only takes time. If you spend enough time, you will be able to do it. Imagine how many things out there exist that, no matter how much time you spend on them, you will never be able to get it!” So, the question is: how much time do we need to spend to get to that speed of push/pull ( or at least close)? 😊 once more thank you for your great work!

It's like magic to me. Like a couple months or 3 I try to learn your Push and Pull technique, but still no progress at all. 16the I can play max 110 Bpm ( about 20 Seconds and no push pull) It looks so simple seeing you play so fast. You are so fast, but what I like more is seeing videos you play the drums on stage, you are a very underrated and good drummer :)

Very very nice . Just unique technique . Understand the clues . But what I don’t understand is how is it possible to do it so fast ? Did you train for 1 million hours to reach this speed or what ? Also I would like to ask , ans this is something you are not talking = how is the muscle tension between the thumb and the forefinger on the push/ pull technique ? Is it loose ? Or do you put a lot of pressure with your thumb into the stick in order to make the mouvement so fast ?

Hi my friend!!Sorry for the late!!I think that in the beginnng you could feel a little bit tired of doing it a lot!!ih tim, if you do it right, you stop to fell tired and do less effort!! The thumb is one of the key!!All the best!!

This is the best video for me for learning push and pull, even tho I use the american grip. I'm curious if it's possible to play just as fast with american grip.
