I love the way Brain Cox can't stop smiling when he talks about science. It really shows he has massive amounts of passion on the subject. I didn't understand some of this video (granted his way of explaining is fantastic and I understood lots more than I thought I would) but I could just watch him talk about science all day, watching someone with that much passion just commands attention, even if you don't get it.

If quality lies in resonance, then it should prove interesting to quantify it, somehow -- if this were a unisonic interview, we should also be able to compose harmonic interviews, or dissonant ones. By this line of reasoning, perhaps a lot of interviews fail because they're simply out of key.

Watching this in 2020 and this guy is still so fun to watch. Science in school bored me due to the way it was taught. As in memorizing random facts and equations for a standardized test instead of pushing for actual involvement and excitement in the science field. This guy has a true passion for learning and is amazingly good at talking about very complex theories and thought experiments at a layman mans level. Love listening to him

I learned stuff that scientists discovered through many years of hard work and experimentations. We also recreate those experiments. Most of all, I have learn that my own armchair thinking is not good enough to undercover the whole world; that we are now standing on the shoulders of giants like Einstein who himself was on Newton's shoulders. I think the most important question to be answered in astrophysics is "What is spacetime made of?". Since spacetime can be warped by matter, it must be made of something. Figuring out what spacetime is made of could then answer questions such as what is dark matter, what is dark energy, and why do particles behave as waves. Until we understand which thread is used to make the fabric of spacetime, I think the other answers will remain elusive.

I've never understood why curved space will make things move and attract. They say curved space like it is the same thing as uncurved space, but uncurved space does not make things move or attract. Why would curved space do that? Why do not objects just sit still in curved space?
