I start from the rear, leaving a strand 0f copper wire there to rib the body after I wind the remaining wire forward to the head. Different method but the same result! Excellent fly that catches !

Often more than one way and I believe it's about finding what works for you not necessarily about doing what someone else does. I'll have to give your method a go as well see how I like it.
