Cheers Bob , I'm 53yr old lifelong cyclist , my commute is about 3.5 miles , why on earth am i using my Golf estate in this congested town ? Used Ribble for years , this is now looking a complete " no brainer"

Great little review. My neighbour has just ordered one so I was curious. Very interesting to see just how light it is vs my all be it full suspension mid drive Specialized. I really liked the fact it looks so subtle, great for roads and more gentle tracks.

Hi Bob picking up my Ribble this weekend, very interesting review. On part 2 the road test what app was it you were using shown bottom left of the screen. It looks a lot more use than the standard Mahle app.

Nice review thanks. I ordered one in April with an estimated build date in July, then they changed it to August, then around the build date they changed it to September. Yes there’s a pattern here they’ve now changed it to the end of October and to say I’m disgusted by the way they’ve been stringing me along with assurances that have turned out to be untrue I wouldn’t be surprised if the bike never arrives. Never ever again would I consider buying another bike from Ribble. They take your money, hold on to it for as long as they can and every time they’re contacted they just try to fob you off. I’ve heard rumours they’re struggling financially as quite a few of my friends are having the same experience

Got the Shimano non electric version being put together now. Looking forward to it, im currently on a claud butler hybrid at 14kg. The ribble is i believe 11.4. Much better. Not a fan of the brown seat etc. Luckily i have a trek carbon post abd seat abd 105 gears which may well go on it. It has acera the new one. Not sure if they will be any good. Best part for me carbon folks. Just like my trek road bike thsts below 8kg only just. If i had tve extra money id have got this one i only psid 600 for my Shimano non electric version.y dad has the sane one. He got the fully loaded one different gears claris so around the sane level as acera i think. Better wheels. A decent big battery light pump etc abd he paid 850. So i think ive done ok especially considering i have deore shifters that'll go on tbe nes one abd said 105 fd abd rd. So i can upgrade at will. Ill more than likely leave it until the gears annoy me then bye bye. I love 105 gears.

Nice review thanks. I guess what happens when the battery degrades to a point where it barley holds a charge? Can it be replaced?

Very interesting and helpful, thanks. I guess that I would like to know just how much battery charge this ride used as the downside for me is the limitations of a relatively small battery. Update: have just read your excellent full review and you have provided a decent answer to my question regarding battery life. Thanks. I will now read more of your stuff on lightweight e bikes!
