Guess I'm going to have to do this for Christmas. Good job looks delicious,!

That looks fantastic! I used to do a rib roast for every Christmas, but then I started making Beef Wellington instead. The last couple of years I’ve switched to a whole beef tenderloin smoked in a similar fashion. I think I like it best. I’ve always enjoyed your videos Ry. Great Job!

Thank you! I still can’t muster the courage to do a Wellington 😊
If you don't post before Christmas. I wish you a merry christmas and beautiful holidays. Cheers from Switzerland

Looks fantastic. I’ve never cooked one. It costs $25.88/lb USDLRS in the country I live in. So about $130.00 - $160.00 for a 3 Rib Roast. It’s out of reach for me. One can dream. I enjoy your videos. Wishing you & your family a wonderful Christmas season.

Maybe one day I'll do an expensive rib like that, but in the meantime I'll just keep watching and learning from your videos! 👍

Another outstanding cook! You’ve been one of the most influential KZbinrs since I started my Weber kettle journey in August of 2020! Just picked up a copper Premium on clearance at Lowe’s yesterday in your honor! 🔥

Thank you for sharing Sir, absolutely amazing results as always, although I’d have to use an entire day of wage to afford that cut and size of roast! 😄

I’ve done one of these. We thoroughly enjoyed it. It’s definitely not something to do every day. I might have to get me another one now.😂

The sweet and smokey rub is one of my favorites. It makes such a beautiful color on the end product with a great taste on the bites. I smoke a rib roast for the holiday every year and i always follow your lead. Great video Ry. Merry Christmas to you and your family.🤤

Try a basting brush next time for the butter. That roast looks amazing!👅
@CookingWithRy21 күн бұрын
I decided not to brush. Pouring worked well and one less thing to clean.

I'm ashamed to say I've only had rib roast once in my 46 years and it was a bad experience at a restaurant. Yours looks FANTASTIC! One day I'll try to cook on myself. Merry Christmas!

Love ribeye roast off the smoker and that made my mouth water. What do you think about using beef tallow instead of butter for basting?

I plan to do this for Christmas dinner. I have a SNS basket insert (similar style to yours in the video). I’m just asking if you don’t mind the white smoke from the coals, or does it stop eventually with the lid on and you get better smoke from the wood chunks? Or am I thinking about it too much. Thank you Ry!
@CookingWithRy20 күн бұрын
I’ve never had any issue with it in 40 years of grilling. I think people sometimes worry too much about some white smoke. It usually settles down as the burn progresses 👍

Happy Holidays Ry! Thank you for the video. You did a great job! Can you tell me what was the temperature of the weber Kettle and about how long did it take to cook?
@CookingWithRy20 күн бұрын
250 F and about three and a half hours 😊
@Isaiah-h2v19 күн бұрын
What side do you keep the temp gauge on. By the coals or the meat?
@CookingWithRy19 күн бұрын
I installed a second gauge lower on the lid on the vent side so it can be near the meat.

Looks great. I have such a hard time getting my kettle to hold temp. It either spikes or drops rapidly. Do you have a video on that topic specifically?
