WATCH RICH PIANA CHRONICLES:
generationiron.com/watch-rich...
A lot of us in the Generation Iron offices are still reeling from the passing of Rich Piana - especially as many have met him personally in the process of filming Generation Iron 2. I decided to reach out to Ric Drasin, who was a well known long time friend to Rich Piana, to get more context and insight into Rich's passing.
Ric Drasin has been releasing honest, entertaining, and informative videos on KZbin for quite some time... so I knew that he would be able to have a frank and reflective conversation with me about Rich Piana's life leading up to his tragic death. We touch upon the rumors of recreational drug use, his past heath issues, and the kind of life Rich always pushed to live even up to the very last few days. You can watch our full interview above.
Bodybuilding, fitness, weight training - all on the Generation Iron Fitness Network!

@@brendanbell4732 yeah I'm sorry. Rich lied a shit ton about what he was able to achieve even with steroids. He didn't get that big with steroids. Look at his actual bodybuilding career. That's the biggest he ever actually was with steroids. The rest is synthetic as in fake. It's not muscle it doesn't contract. Rich's problems were compounded by the fact he was carrying 40 lbs of extra weight that is completely useless, even more so than fat tissue.

Rich was a kid at heart and unlimited humility. Everytime he spoke, it was emotion like he was counting the days before he died. This loser embodied everything that has turned wrong about the world today...the bigger is better mentality, a disgusting portrayal of self-indulgence, greed, superficiality...the list goes on. 30 years ago this clown would be as unknown as other trash people like the Kardashians and other trash TV losers. Everyone was waiting for this loser to kick the bucket. We all knew it was coming. He was a very BAD PERSON because his entire business was built on LIES and PROMOTION OF MATERIAL GOODS. Piana was a complete fraud. He lied about everything and he influenced many young naive kids, giving them fake news, disinfo and many other things in order to generate google adsense revenues which was his #1 means of income. He never mentioned that. Piana got what he deserved. The world has too many con men as it is. One less is for the best. Piana, burn in hell.

What smart person spends all that time trying to build a company and then treats his body like a dumpster, doing all the drugs under the sun ending up killing himself at the age of 46. Is that a smart strategy in your mind?! To destructively lead a life that contradicting is the pinnacle of stupidness. Btw, you are exaggerating Rich wealth. His California homes were all rented, he bought and sold used cars. Wake up kiddo, betta idolize someone smart instead. You seem very naive.

I think Rich's biggest thing was his charisma. Whether he was a bullshitter or not, I just enjoyed to hear him talk. Even though most of the things he was saying about the diet, training etc. didn't really make a lot of sense and were mostly bro-science, he had this way of saying it that made you wanna sit down and listen. A great entertainer, even though I only knew him from KZbin I really miss him and in the back of my mind I still can't believe he is really gone. Every time I look at my sub-box I keep thinking that there will be a new video and once again I'm gonna hear "GOOD FUCKIN' MORNING", or "HEEEY, WASSUP EVERYONE". He had such a strong presence.. RIP

died being a poser tryin to be something he wasn't. had he actually enjoyed working out and reaping the benefits of working out (healthy body) he would still be alive. he lived his life for show. then they had his showing. the end. I think he might have been mentally handicapped and just tried to hide it behind muscle. dude was not normal in any aspect.

Gasping for air with the muscle that pumps blood through your body shorting out in agonizing pain? Yeah, he probably loved that.

I was and still am a huge fan of Rich...ill always continue to support his company and legacy...ill never forget how I became introduced to Rich Piana..i was sitting at home on the couch..in a major depression that was all ready going for awhile...i was down and out and going no where fast...one of his videos popped up on my timeline and I was like...who the fuck is this monster..from that moment on, I started watching all his videos...his videos combined wit my determination brought me out of.my depression and got me back into the gym...he motivated me so much and made me believe in myself again...from that moment on, my whole life changed and I became a totally different person...i just want to say thank you Rich..you were a pleasure to listen to and watch..may you rest in peace...GOD NEEDED A TRAINER, THATS WHY HE TOOK YOU SO EARLY...

Rich was an awesome guy you could definitely tell though he was starting to worry about his health. He did a video where he thought he was having kidney issues and you could tell he was pretty nervous even at the doc going for igf1 you can tell he's trying to get on a healthier regiment and routine. I think your a 100% right though at all costs he was going to be huge because that's what his fans wanted it's to bad the world lost a great one rip rich

Megarexia kills. I think Ric said it right, doesn't matter if your overweight on muscles or fat. The heart is struggling with the weight and your are obese in any case. Many guys that are out of shape with a belly but weigh much less than big BBs are actually much healthier.

ventende True. Loads of muscles require lot of oxygenation and that is too much work for the heart. That's another reason to stay more on the leaner side, even if you wanna be bigger.
@Underhills
@Underhills 6 жыл бұрын
Being very tall ain't too optimal either as that accumulates alot of weight too. There's alot of basketball players that should monitor their heart often. Being 211 cm / 83 inches tall can't be good for anyone although your fit. Very tall people that exceeds even that height normally don't reach old age. The ticker can't take it.
