It’s that season again, and my Ric Rac was loaded with blooms! Took videos over a week, and patched them together for a bit of a timeline as it bloomed.

Please tell me how to tell the difference in a ric rac, fishbone and a zig zag! How did you get so many bloom? I have a cutting that someone shared with me and I’m not sure what I have?
@sheilabroad81924 жыл бұрын
I just bought a zig zag cactus. Does it bloom from the very end of the leaf? Thanks.

I was so excited when I saw your video on my notifications. I'm glad you're feeling better. I've been following your herbal adventures on Instagram. Hopefully I can get over my nervousness exploding jars and try to infuse some honey this year. Happy Fall 🍁🍃🍂

Ramica Branham, just make sure you leave the rings on your jars loose so air can escape, and you should be golden! Exploding jar fear is for real though! I remember multiple times as a kid growing up where jars exploded, and it’s a scary thing! I’ve never had a honey jar explode on me as long as you don’t tighten the lids though! 🤗🥰

Would you be willing to spare a small cutting of your ric rac? I have not been able to find a true ric rac. I have a fishbone who is cute but not nearly as cute as your ric rac!
@phileofarm14 жыл бұрын
MsGhastful, I have quite a few people in line for cuttings, but I haven’t been able to find a fishbone cactus here, so if you’d be willing to trade me a cutting of that, I’d gladly send you a cutting of mine if you are in the USA! We might have to wait till spring as the weather is FREEZING here already (it’s been down in the low 20’s) and since I wasn’t planning to ship plants this fall I don’t have any heat packs. But I’d LOVE a trade of cuttings if you are up for that! 🤗

Ashley Glassman / Herbal And Succulent Alchemy For sure I would love to swap plant cuttings! I am in the USA and am in the mid west so it is currently cold here also!

susan hays Cowboy BloopBlorp Mesembs are a type of succulent, found in some of the most harshest climates, and tolerate extreme heat, drought, and sun. Often in their native habitat they only get 1 or 2 Rains a year, and many retreat under the sand to conserve moisture. They are known to be very fickle if they get water at the wrong times of year, so that’s why I mentioned them getting watered while we were on vacation, and it damaging a lot of them. I’m located in Northern Idaho. 😊

Ashley Glassman / Herbal And Succulent Alchemy Thank you for your reply. Upon looking them up, I realized what they are. I always kill those, so never buy them anymore. I probably over-watered them.
