I watched your videos a few years ago and I just watched them again because you do such an excellent job explaining conophytum.

Would love to see how to care for it after potting the tubers. I’ve tried so many times and they always rot.

I just got one myself from the 2 dollar rack at walmat. The one i got was super dry though. I put it in a gigh drainage succulent mix, drenched it, and let it drip dry out. Today it still seems fine so after seeing this i am hoping the next few days will be ok. I live in a desert and the humidity of my home is now 26 percent so i think i am going to be okay.

Was searching for a reason I was sent tissues along with a fabric pot purchase. I guess the "tissues" would be useful if I wanted to start seedling this way. This video was so helpful because I'd never heard of this 🙂

I came here because mine was the bunch of straight ones that I picked up at Kroger a couple of years ago but over the last few months, lots of new growth was going on and I wanted to know about separation. I'm very excited about the pups now! The cuttings can go back into a pot together again but I'm really looking forward to seeing the pups grow into the plants they were meant to be!

A lithops pro told me that he spray or water them slightly especially in spring doesn’t matter if they split or not! What do you think about this?
@meghnanair28772 ай бұрын
Thanks a lot Ashley, I got a lithops and it is potted in a DIY potting mix, that allows a lot of drainage, its been a couple of weeks and there seems to be no change. When it arrived it had almost no roots. Should I transfer it to an all perlite mix?

Do the stems that got all shrunken and wilty during the dehydration period come back to life?
@LoreaGandiaga2 ай бұрын
What if a new one pops out but the old leaves are still insanely plump from overwatering at the store. I have been keeping them dry for weeks but they haven’t shrunk at all… in those cases would it be beneficial to cut off some of the plump old leaves?

Do you have any videos on above water therapy? My lithops got its roots torn off but I think there’s still a small piece inside it. will adding rooting powder or gel help?

that cooperi deff need some light XD thats why it streched so much. its a balance for cooperi to not giving it too much light that it turns red/brown but also not too little to get a streched resoult

Perfect timing! I got a small ric rac a few months ago at a plant swap but didn't know anything about it. Put it in my (mostly) cactus garden and it's undoubtedly been getting too much sun and not enough water. Will be repotting and repositioning it today!
@runtznstuntzbullylife7462 ай бұрын
What kind of light should they have? I know you said windows seal. I didn’t great if it is ok for direct sun. I have one in the bathroom and it doors pretty good.. My first time having them I went and separated them.. so mine are way safer and skinnier but they are starting to fan out but I would love to know I’d they can have direct light or just shaded sun? Ty so much!

O m g you just saved me from a full blown break down. I am sitting here with my burros tail in front looking at it wondering how to actually do this seeing as he's already shot 4 leaves off, of course I just watered him so now I am stopping and going to let it dry out and use your method lol thank you

Plant mama here... I would strongly advise against washing soil down your kitchen sink drain. That soil can block up your pipes over time. If you've never had to replace the pipes from the street to your house, it'll run you anywhere from $20-$40K. I have 5gl buckets I work with when I have to rinse dirt from the roots. That water goes outside into my compost afterward in the event there are mealies or other pests.

If you just have to plant them in a mix of cactus medium and rocks so that they don't die out how long before you can plant them in a rock mixture
