Omg that "k" tip really helped but when I try to force more air to raise the pitch it just feels like it gets louder and breathier but the pitch doesn't raise and I just end up annoyed after 15min lol so is there any advise on how to fix this

Good question! I’d say it’s a battle against how much air you’re letting out! When you’re doing the k sound in your teeth, and you wanna use more air to change the pitch, what I MEAN to say is that your mouth isn’t adjusting to let more air out. It just so happens that more air wants to exit that side of your mouth! Imagine a balloon with air inside it. When you squeeze it to one side, the air is trying really hard to escape since there’s so much of it! But all that’s available is a little hole that makes the balloon squeal! You should feel a lot more air pressure when you’re trying to higher the pitch or even when Donald Duck is screaming! Careful not to overdo it because you will feel lightheaded and risk the chance of passing out!! (I’m speaking from experience! lol)

That's good! Keep practicing the sound first! Eventually, you'll be able to hold the sound hard enough that you'll be able to move your tongue around more! Does that make sense?

Donald Duck is the trickiest of the voices. Stitch and Gollum and Elmo are basically the same voice technique for me. I make my nephews happy when I do those. But unfortunately Donald Duck remains a challenge. I used to do it quite well once upon a time.

Stitch, You can try moving your tounge to the back of your throat. Start by making like an “Ahhhh” sound (kinda like when youre at the dentist) And the. slowly move your tounge to the back of your throat. Once its as far back as it will go, keep it there, and try to talk. It might take some getting used too, but thats how I learned.

This is probably the most useful tutorial I've seen and I've seen a lot. One thing these videos don't explain is HOW LONG IT TAKES TO PRONOUNCE WORDS! I've been practicing for weeks and I still sound super bad, but I can definitely tell an improvement! If you're discouraged, remember to keep it up! You've got this!

My issue atm is, I can't get mine in the higher registers that Donald is known for. I dunno if its bc everybody's different, and some can get it there and some can't. I hope that's not the case. Or, if maybe mine is high but I'm just not hearing it cuz the way we hear ourselves is a lot different than what others hear. So maybe I need to record myself. I dunno. I have a small tip, idk if it will help tho or if you are still interested! Try to keep the tongue touching the backside of your bottom teeth while you do it so that the air is directed properly, if I move mine up the duck sound stops! I’ve been able to do it since 2nd grade but I can’t speak very clearly in it ); if you have any questions/ issues I can try to help

I’ve been able to make the sound for years but I’ve never been able to produce words with it. Thanks to this video I realized that I’m producing the sound too close to the front of my mouth which causes my tongue to not be able to move! Now that I’m doing it in the back my tongue can move!
