This puts to bed the rumor that his chest was prosthetic in Wrath of Khan. He was in fantastic shape even late in life.

Yes. Nimoy totally debunked that silly rumor in his book.

When he was a young actor, the man was in phenomenal shape. Right up until his passing, the man was just pure masculinity with a physique a lot of males of any age bracket wished they had, but infused with old world charm and grace. This is why people to this day still speak so highly of him and why I admire him.

You could be blind and still recognize Ricardo Montalban. He sounds exactly the same no matter what role he plays, but it definitely worked for him! 👍
@mrwindsor90823 ай бұрын
@@johnburla It's true that Ricardo was not a method actor. He was recognisable in every role he played. Ricardo always sounded the same. But he had the true actor's ability to seem real in every part he played. He portrayed a broad range of characters from many different backgrounds. For example, Khan, Zach Powers, a killer in Columbo and Murder She Wrote. But IMHO Mr Roarke in Fantasy Island was his greatest and best suited role. I will of course give an honourable mention to his iconic participation in the classic Chrysler tv adverts.

Ricardo is the greatest Spainard in history! I know he was born in Mexico. But unlike most Mexicans he was pure Castillian. Ricardo was the personification of Spanish grace and charm!

This role and his work as Khan and as Mr. Roarke showed me he was the only other man that could have played Hanna in the movie Heat. His tine and actions would have resembled this character. There would be no bombast, no empty threats. He would have been very different than Al Pacino's Hanna. At the same time, perfect. I can only imagine the diner conversation between Ricardo and DeNiro.

She was so lucky she got to kiss him in this scene! I absolutely adored Ricardo Montalban! As a 10 year old little girl I wanted to grow up and marry him! Lol! Loved him in Star Trek and loved him in Fantasy Island. The guy was pure class, always carried himself well! Graceful and Classy. I miss him!

It was wrong to give him a little girl's gun for this show. They should have given him a .44 magnum with a 6 inch barrel.
