Consider missiles hardpoint psn when aiming. For example at 4:24 if you move your aim center slightly up and right missile will hit perfectly.

i was building a clipper for this, i put a regular sub-surface missile on it, thx for pointing out its a special missile launcher before i actually go visit the titan, i've been a away for a long time

You don't need enhanced xeno scanner - pulse wave scanner does its job.

Well this video has gotten me closer than every other attempt - much appreciated. I'm still of the opinion though that the extraction missiles simply don't work, the success rate seems to be about 1 in 60 shots!

Have not checked. Though they would be delivered to the rescue ships

Selling them at a search and rescue ship helps the war effort. Anywhere else is just credits. Active titans only of course. If you grab them from a dead titan, it doesn't matter.

My first go didn't work that well - I destroyed two sets of rescuees and then got attacked by four glaives at once.

to exit the maelsrtom it was once enough to log out, when you log in you are out of the maelstrom. I don't know if it still works or if it was a bug and was fixed...

I think I 'll pass for now. Haven't been to the maelstrom, don't have caustic sinks, tired of over the top module and armor requirements. I was having some fun rescuing pod and killing Scythes, but got interdicted by Glaives too many times. The Glaives speed and caustic missile spam got old. Very hard to consistently win the fight with >50% hull left.
