Excellent test results from this Riccar! It should deep clean well!

Impressive numbers, I was honestly more skeptical of these R10's with their 5 bladed fan vs the RSL's with their 7 bladed fan, and I thought it would have lower airflow numbers, but thankfully, I'm wrong on that.

How do we change the speeds?

How do these numbers translate to real world use? Have you found either the Oreck or Riccar more effective in cleaning certain types of floors, situations or in usability? Do you prefer either? I have an old XL21 which I am looking to upgrade but just doing research on a suitable upgrade. One thing I am looking for is a vacuum that has a built in extension tube with attachments. Thanks.

In real world use, the XL21 and the R10 Supralite are very similar. I would actually give a slight edge in terms of bare-floor cleaning to the XL21 since its brushroll isn’t as aggressive, but I’d give a slight edge in carpet performance to the Supralite since its aluminum brushroll is excellent at vibrating debris out of the carpet pile. If you’re looking for a vacuum with attachments, neither the Supralite nor the XL21 are what you’re looking for since neither of them have any attachments. :) Check out my tests of the Riccar R25 or Riccar R40P if you’d like a powerful machine with on-board attachments. Thanks so much for watching and let me know if there’s anything else I can help you with!
