Hi, good video. I think you have not included about Boiled rice, which is used in South india(Kerala and TN) . It's a bit different from brown rice but is more healthier than polished or white rice. You must try that and make a video about it.

Very good and informative video. Lekin ispe aur v info add hogi Aap ne jo process bataya hei wo aadhi story hei. Actually most indian part me Raw Rice (Arua chawal) hi khaya jata hei jiske liye ye process sahi hei. Par eastern states jeise Odisha Jharkhand West Bengal me par boiled rice (Usna Chawal) khaya jaata hei jis ki process alag hei. Hamari rice mill hei to mei Details batata hu. Dhaan ki de-stoning tak thik hei (actually hum do baar de stoning karte hein ek before processing ek after). To de-stoning k baad dhaan (rice grain with husk) ko bade bade boilers me dala jata hei. Yaha inko garam paani me 2 hours k liye duba kar rakha jata hei. Aur saath hi hot steam v pass ki jati hei usme jis se rice gelatinous form me aata hei. Fir boilers se garam paani ko drain kar liya jata hei aur kuch ghante drain position me rakha jata hei. After that bohot bade bade drier hote hein jisme is geele dhaan ko sukhaya jata hei jab tak iska moisture 14% ho jata hei. After that de husking ki jati hei jisme rice se uska husk yani chilka nikala jata hei. Hume brown rice milta hei. After that usko grinding stone me dala jata hei jisse uska bran nikal jata hei. Then it goes for color sorting. Is step me har ek black ya dark color rice ko alag kar diya jata hei aur fir separator machine me hum broken aur saabut rice alag kar sakte hein to get final white rice.

Good Video. I am taking about south India but I think this is same in other places also, we give lot of respect to rice, we dont waste it, the rice that falls off from the banana leaves to the floor while eating are not mopped or sweeped, but each rice is handpicked and then disposed. Kids are told not to waste rice in the plate. No one touches rice from their leg which would mean ultimate disrespect. This is more so true in families where earlier generation were poor and had to struggle. We call rice, Anna and Godess of food is Annapoorneshwari , the Godness name itself has the name of rice. Also interesting we call our closed relatives with Aa letter, Appa (father), Amma (mother), Anna (brother), Akka (sister), so rice (Anna) is also our close relative

I love your content. It may sound absurd, since your's is a farming channel but try making some videos regarding processed foods like Oreo's, Cereals, and namkeens to show the the high amount of processing. Our kids think that they are eating cream in biscuits whereas it is a Palmolein oil based substance. Show some negative aspects about processed food. Your research is good. Keep it up. Godspeed.

You have not included that for making parboiled rice the husked rice is boiled or steamed in water and dried in the sun before separating its husk in the mill. And for white or brown rice the husked rice is not steamed.
