It's also BIS at Colosseum, especially Sol Heredit and arguably on most of the enemies in there. For the waves it's trickier to use as you have to melee distance so do be careful, maybe be safer to mage/range until the mobs die down when learning

Scythe definitely shreds sire, but I feel like it's worth mentioning that shadow is the actual bis, and fang can be better dps in some setups if no hammers hit. It takes a lot more focus to use shadow on P3/P4, so I really prefer melee gear for the defence there, but P2 I tend to not really take damage. For people looking to min/max, make sure to run dps calcs.

ive tested both in real situations and id say scythe is a bit more bis than shadow at real sire. the dps cals severely underestimate how much defence plays a role at sire so you are forced to heal more and lose dps with shadow a bit more often. theyre both really close in reality despite what dps cal shows. especially because youll lower its def most of the time with bgs/hammer that scythe dps is higher most of the time anyways. dps cals should only be viewed as more of a rough idea and when i say bis i mean bis in a real situation not on paper.

@@RiceCup i agree on the healing for the last parts, but P2 with shadow doesn't really have that issue. I think I've used maybe 5 pieces of food in the last 200-300 kc since switching to P1/P2 shadow, P3/P4 melee. I do poh resets, so I can get a hit off a tick or so early with shadow while running in, and then I just melee when it goes to center to have that defence. There's also something to be said about dps specs on P4 like VW/claws vs dwh/bgs on P2 to maximize scythe dps. Those big hits can overtake the dps you gain with scythe using the def reduction in some situations. Kinda depends on how much other bis stuff you have, but that half and half mage/melee and using specs for final phase ending has been working pretty well for me with my method/setup. I can't speak as much for multi kill trips though. I just bring a couple sharks and leave my inventory empty to minimize bank trips, and I've really only done that method for my 1500 or so kc.

Based on poh method which i agree the most part@@Inscipio but most kills per hour is just camping the boss so you'd definitely want to camp melee on both phases. The spec stuff you mentioned isn't going to save more time vs just staying at the boss so especially since u can wear lb during vents and have a spec most kills w/o poh for example. So to clarify i meant bis in a real situation doing the most kills/h method.

@@RiceCup yeah Id agree that the overall lower damage taken when staying for extended trips definitely outweighs the on paper dps increase from shadow. Especially with torva's insane defence. I just like giving alternate methods/perspectives for people who may do things similarly to me. Most people don't seem to want to run calcs and then test methods out. People just kind of do things the way someone else did even if they are doing a different method, so I like throwing out extra info where I can in case it helps someone. Loved the vid btw. I finally finished my mega rare set recently and got my own scythe, so more info on its post-buff strengths was awesome to see.

yoo, just wanted to come to say, you can one tick pick the mushrooms right after grinding one. i used modern layout to open and close the inventory tab to make it less mouse moving. hope this helps!

ye u can but its slower method since you only get 1 at a time. this method is 2x mushrooms can just crush while running. but thats an easier method yes if you dont wana sweat it. 2:51

something to consider - scy powers up a lot as you gain strength bonuses, so if you're early into a rebuild its better to do spam stuff like guantlet & zalcano then if you'll do those bosses at all during the rebuild.

if you happen to see this why use an ancient brew on thermy with scythe? Doesn't ancient brews lower atk/str/def therefore makign scythe worse? or would you use menaphite remedys in conjunction with this to offset the stat lowering ?

The shadow is supposedly BIS on Sire itself too now, I did try it for a trip or two but found myself getting rinsed by scions. Might’ve been bad rng but… Also the venator bow is crazy at Grotesque Guardians too

no you can't even poison the boss. the helm is a cheaper alternative thats pretty much it.

I could be wrong, I literally only killed quest duke haha. But BIS is BIS, and you seem to be a guy who really enjoys getting the best setup possible

serp helm does not have the same max hit. serp only gives you 49 vs torvas 50 and it's very rare serp will ever match the max torva helm. Torva helm is 8 str vs serps 5, it's a big difference - pretty much a max hit always over serp. Also, it really depends on exactly what gear you have, serp helm easily loses max hits on most setups. so it's not really the best argument just because you'd have to be awfully specific to even argue that serp is bis. @@meller7303

How is inquisitor dead content at cerb now? Just curious because in the dps calculators inquisitor is still better

technically it's higher dps (very small difference), but youll have to spam blood fury the whole time with inquisitor as it's paper defence and you're forced to eat more mid kill. Where vs Torva, you just tank cerb. i've tested both setups at the real boss. Torva in a real situation was alot more consistent, and rarely needed blood fury. but you can use whichever suits you as inquisitor is a lot cheaper to buy if normal account.
