I've been an English teacher in Indonesia for the past 7 years and hearing this guy talk is so damn inspirational. I was teaching during the time he was growing up in Jakarta and learning English and watching KZbin videos. He reminds me so much of some of my students who would talk nonstop about American KZbinrs and how much watching their videos have inspired them and endeared them to American culture. I've had some super smart girls and boys basically run circles in language development compared to the kids that weren't doing this. KZbin will always be a better English teacher than me. Indonesians are wonderful people and even though there are many aspects of the culture I disagree with and there are forces at work in his country to stifle the kind of self-education and mind-opening that he's doing, by and large the population is full of curious, intelligent and "ready for the next step" kind of youth. I love this.

But the thing tho is that not so many people is interested enough to do so... I’m Indonesian currently staying in the US. Got a neighbor who is obsessed with this show and he bought all of the sauces featured here. He invited me over to try them with plain chicken wings. I tried them one by one with no expression, I was like “that’s it?” Some were spicy but not THAT spicy. He on the other hand, was coughing, tearing up, gasping for air, red face, kept reaching out for milk while I didn’t drink a single sip at all. I told him in Indonesia we do real chili peppers, not extracts that come in bottles like these!

I also hate it when people judge the channel because they don't know who Brian is. The last couple episodes they didn't know who Brian was. Even throughout the seasons they didn't know who Brian was, and they were hating even then. All kidding aside though, I agree. I'm not gonna lie and say I'm not a little disappointed when I see its someone I dont even know, because its pretty special when you're like "Holy shit! I know that person, I really wanna see how they hold up!" But I found this channel when they were getting lots of people nobody knew and then I had to go back to watch all the previous episodes of people I didn't know. This channel is more about people in general than it is about your fave celebrity that's on it.

He had me at "When you cook for someone, you're showing how much you love them" (something like that). He seems SO genuine that I look foward to hearing his music. P.S. What is happening to my world? @Grim Reaper arise I can't believe how long it took for me to see these comments. But yeah, I listened to a few and like the lyrics but I would not call the songs rap. More like pop. And the synthesized voice makes me cringe, no matter who it is. Auto-tune is cheating, but that's just my opinion. I felt a little let down.

I apologize ahead of time for a slightly cheezy comment. First of all, great episode as always. Anyway, just want to say how much this show helps me throughout the week. Sometimes my job can be stressful. I have the lucky benefit of living close enough to work that I can come home for lunch. Every Thursday I look forward to going home, sitting down with some grub, and enjoying whatever kind of "hot ones" entertainment will be coming my way - whether it's an insightful interview, a guest struggling with the last dab, or whatever. So for brightening my Thursdays (and sometimes my week) - Thank you!
