I enjoy this show very much always think the planner don’t see the full budget, they see the budget minus their salary I usually try to guess the budget by the look after seeing the envelope. ❤️❤️

I got my flowers from a grocery store with roses, they all looked great. Even for vases on each table and the total was around $300. Individual florists are expensive!

Silk florals on sale at the end of summer, hand-sewn table clothes and placemats, hand baked cake, Ice cream float bar instead of alcohol, throfted antiques and 4 years to collect and make everything is how my fiancé and I are staying under budget.

I got all my decorations at the dollar tree and at michaels on clearance. We had an open bar because we had our reception and wedding at a winery so we got 100 in wine credits we added another 100 to that. We had one kind of beer. I got my dress, crown and belt at David’s bridal for 600. Our venue was 500 for 4 hours we added 100 for another hour. For everything I think we spent between 1500-1800. It was a beautiful ceremony. The only thing I regret is it not being very organized but overall it was great. You can def do it on a budget

This couple poorly used their money. The reception looked very stale. Why book 2 plain suv's? When a reg. car would've worked as well. That money could've gone into venue decor. The bride was very condescending towards her wedding planner. She's an organizer not a personal assistant.

She will when the pictures of the cake cutting. Along with pictures of them kissing at the head table. With tablecloths from the hall and no flowers on the table. In 25 years how cheap and tacky it looks. I didn’t have big wedding at all. We got married at the courthouse and had cake reception at my in-laws. Don’t have big wedding if you can’t afford it simple.

They can't just change the price on the day of the wedding they already agreed with the venue what the prices were going to be and as a wedding planner she should be the one sorting this out if they venue messed up not the bride on her wedding day.

@@jct4294 nah the price is for the drinks package. Usually cheaper than the actual price. If that contract is broken then they can charge what they will charge the normal punters

I want to get my bouquet from a supermarket. Don't understand why I have to pay quadruple the price for the same thing and I will only have them in my hands for a short period of time 🙄. Such a waste of money.

Wedding planners will have seen a million cases of Micky Mouse and family vendors who do a cheap and cheerful job,.if they do it at all, and the couple are upset at the last minute when it is too late to change anything and have to live with something they hate or without a service they paid for

As someone who had a budget of $26,000, it seems ridiculous to me to have a bigger wedding than that! 😱 I had 100 ppl & it was perfect. To give some advice, I'd say don't spend so much on the cake & plated meals. As long as the food is good & the ambiance is magical, no one's going to care about how tall ur cake was. I had a cake made for me & my groom & we had a sheet cake for guests w ice cream. Plated meals are also WAY more expensive!

My rehearsal night was hysterical. Our minister kept cracking jokes, my dad was crying and I had the giggles. My poor husband, Ken. Lolol the wedding day I was stressed. Instead of having me for the appointment for nails, salon had my mom. Once that was fixed and I was getting in the limo for to head to the venue, all was great.....well, all but forgetting my bouquet. Lol

I think the planner quit suggesting upgrades. When the grumpy bride never entertaining any upscale ideas. The bride was a bit bitchy & condescending.

It says she has only two years experience. So she probably is still learning. Most of the planners on this show have much ore experience. But at the same time the bride was being rude and condescending. I also think a planner is walking the line between complying with the budget and throwing a great party. If the party is really special and people hear that she planned it then it's good for her business as the guest might use her for their events or recommend her to others. If it comes off as average and cheap then she won't get further business.

My wedding dress was originally priced for $2,600. But I got it on sale for $2,100. Then I got the veil,shoes and headpiece for like $400.00 dollars combined. I saved my money from when I was a child so I could afford what I wanted for my wedding day.

The florist cancelled four hours before my daughter went down the aisle. Trader Joe’s was right up the street and I had given the girls vintage handkerchiefs that ended up tied around the bouquets. The flowers were gorgeous, as a caterer I can do flowers - no one knew until the next day anything went wrong.

If you go to the right place you can get great flowers. People overly charge on flowers because they know it's for a wedding, there is no difference. As long as the bouquet looks nice who cares if it was grocery store bought

I can't even imagine inviting people to my wedding and asking them to pay for drinks. Cut out expenses somewhere else - invite fewer people - whatever you have to do, but don't have a cash bar. Cash bars are the height of bad taste. If you can't afford a wedding, either elope or wait until you are able to afford it.

The ONE thing to NOT compromise on is a Champaign toast. There is nothing tackier than guests toasting with a glass of water or a Coke. NEVER settle on the dress either.

The other thing not to skimp on is a photographer. We let a friends son who was taking photography classes at the jr. college he was going to. When I went to pick up the pictures ( this was 45 years ago) he did not have a clue what he was doing. All 15 envelopes of developed film was grey and black. Not sure why. We paid for our own wedding and wanted a band, I trusted my friends son…. Don’t ever do that, we had 2 or 3 pictures that people took from their instmatics. Don’t ever cut the photographer out. You can use a friend now since technology has changed so much . I not only lost a friend but her son did me a great disservice. We can never get that day back again…46 years ago. …..and we are still married, it was a big deal as our friends all have nice pictures. I’m over it….I think.
