Reddit negative comments are nothing! As long as you're having fun and learning and willing to learn ... then nothing else matters. -Please don't knock yourself or beat yourself over some rando on Reddit.

Keep in mind: you've become a popular streamer for a game in which a bunch of nerds base their entire identity around. They are going to hate on you no matter how you play and what you do - specially so when you clear content they either have a hard time doing or just can't do.

A lot of it is because they don't have a personality to actually attract a audience. It's the " it's so easy I can do it" mentality followed with "streaming isn't a real job".

The first part of this makes me so sad, that someone is struggling with anxiety allowing others to pressure their feelings to be negative.

And it's actually very nice the way Sfia is reassuring 'u pushed buttons wrong but u did enough dmg to kill the boss!'

Those that shit on reddit does worse. They probably haven't even gotten triple legend themselves. If the DPS really matter in the game, it would be like WoW with Meta BS. But FFXIV isn't. It's all about being able to clear and the journey it took to get there.

if all 8 of the party members had rich's level of dps (adjusted for roles ofc) they would not pass the dps check.

I think many people's gripe is the fact that he had 7 other people who already knew the Ultimate fights basically hold his hand through the entire process, effectively clearing it in a few days where those same 7 streamers grinded for hours on end with their groups in prog. Doesn't take away the achievement of learning the mechanics and clearing it though. Nobody would have been interested in seeing 60 hours of pain staking prog, although that's what most people expect when they see new raiders, especially for one who has only played the game for a few months.

Rich could have parsed 99 percentile and people would still say Rich got carried. Reddit will still talk shit even if Rich parsed rank 1 lmao.

its so wild that rich has cleared all the ults so far but is still very clueless about a lot of things in ffxiv lol

You don't actually need to know a whole lot to clear an ultimate. All you need to know is how the fight works and how to do the dance, you don't even need to know your job that well. Think of ultimate knowledge as vertical knowledge and general game knowledge as horizontal knowledge and it will make more sense as to why it's not that wild.

FF14 has the nicest community.... EXCEPT for the part where 50% of the playerbase plays the game like sloths on crack and are jealous about everything a streamer does and are screeching about it everyday on social media and shitting on every other human being for actually being happy.

I keep hearing people say FFXIV has a great community, but after the harassment that Rich has received for beating an Ultimate, as well as Asmongold and Pekora being stream mobbed on their first day, I really have to question that statement.
@rexex345
@rexex345 2 жыл бұрын
@@muffetmissulena6540 the community day to day in game is great, the cracks just start to show whenever you enter social media or get involved with mentors. The reason that title has such a bad reputation is cause everyone in game will straight up give help if asked without a second thought which kind of invalidates the system. But the vast majority of people who became mentors did it for the crown symbol or mount... And these people immediately started acting like having the crown made them actual kings turning them into the kind of toxic player that makes WoW look positively nice. Think of it as 99% is good and that 1% is where you get stuff like hating on someone for doing something they cannot.
